  1. not available to civilians... as far as converting the shotgun to pistol grip which SHOULD be done... you can of course have one of the many talented people do it for you.. or you can do it yourself.. it is not all that hard..
  2. so now you are $75 in.. and probably still left with something that will not withstand the recoil reliably.. if you want something you can count on... get something good from the beginning.. my S12 I went with kvar hand guard with arsenal rail and surefire light.. because it will work.. Honestly, price isn't the issue per se. You're set up is nice, but I'm looking for a VFG with an integrated mount which I can place a flashlight into. I don't want to have to take my hand off the grip to activate/deactivate the flashlight. I do a lot of flashlight testing, and prefer 4Sevens perso

  4. it's funny.. I was with you for a second.. about not needing a collective 70inches of rail up and down the weapon.. but then you started in on the uselessness of things like a weapon mounted light and or reflex sight.... troll away..
  5. I love wood on AKs, but I need to go US made. There are some nice US wood furniture makers, but they are expensive! I like it! I do have the urge to get a nice eotech one day.. *I've never actually gripped a quadrail but the thing looks kinda sharp to grab onto!(?) I had the ultimak lower rail as well.. and while it was exceptional quality.. in the end I felt it was stupid.. while it didn't make the gun all that heavy.. it made it awkward.. the way my gun is currently setup.. it is pretty smooth
  6. kvar hand guard + ultimak rail + aimpoint + offset flashlight mount = any accessory you could need without wasting a bunch of space with a goofy heavy rail full of stuff you are never going to actually use.. IMO of course..
  7. I have used the same setup you are looking into and I loved it.. check your private messages..
  8. Not necessarily, I know people who have taken COM shots from .45s and 9mm and are still around. Some of them were hit multiple times even. What pistol round are you going to use that over penetrates less than a TAP rifle round? What loads specifically are you referring to? Thanks. is there not a hornady or similar product that will perform and minimize over penetration?
  9. This video a gives a pretty good indication of the abuse a T1 can take and remain functional. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89HEefl1KI4 thanks for the video.. can't watch it at the moment but pretty sure it is like others I have seen.. and as I stated... I beat the shit out of my gun.. and it keeps on ticking.. with the optic..
  10. it looks nice and how would you like to break in and be looking down a 12 ga and a 37mm at the same time? depends... what kind of camo will you be wearing.. because that is going to make all the difference in the world.. also.. what type of gas mask? do you live in Somalia?
  11. +1.. no need for that on a shotgun...
  12. you could hypothetically leave the top one off.. but if you ever touch the gas tube after a lot a shooting you will be sorry you did..
  13. thanks.. pretty sure they are going to go on my S12.. was kicking the idea around of putting them on my 7.62..
  14. +1 I really don't know how you can argue against a shot gun. go shoot one in an interior structure in the dark without hearing protection.. and your opinion may change.. I have! Trust me, with the adrenaline pumping, you will barely hear the bang! I have even fire a 12 gauge from inside a vehicle. If you are in a real life lethal situation, the bang of the shotgun will be the least of your worries. interesting.. I shot one in a 3 walled partial structure and it was awful.. and that was in the daylight.. but hey maybe in a "life or death" situation things change..

  16. I guess at the end of the day agree to disagree.. and hope the choice you make is the right one for you..
  17. thanks for the promo code.. about to make another order this week.. do you guys take paypal? just curious..
  18. will the CSS offered weld on HK sights cowitness with Aimpoint micro..(H1)
  19. I have a CX4 in a similar configuration..
  20. I have thrown my Saiga in snow and all that.. and use the gun in a hard manner.. I have never had my Aimpoint fail.. period.. for the glass to "crack" you would have to be doing something pretty ridiculous.. further.. when I move my cheek weld.. the dot is in the same space.. most higher end optics are "parallax free" some will say that no optics are truly parallax free.. aimpoint red dot is pretty close to being totally parallax free.. you would have to really look at the optic at some insane angle to experience any parallax.. the dot of my aimpoint is fairly close to the irons..
  21. I have an actual aimpoint and it is full of win.. but it is also hundreds of dollars.. as you pointed out the Primary Arms ones seem decent.. if I did not have the bank to have the aimpoint I have.. I would likely have PA still mounted on the ultimak..
  22. you are right without question.. don't even bother to think about it.. lol
  23. [sarcasm]well if there is a video on the interwebs about it then it MUST be true.. [/sarcasm] point being I would make a thread here stating the following.. "decided on red dot.. suggest optic and mount" and see what people on this site who are familiar with the platform recommend..
