  1. Simple answer yes, as long as it is in your own State.... I don't know about across State lines... I would wait for others to answer...
  2. I wonder how real this realy is? No warning spacially when they are looking to the skys for the other meteor that is suppoed to pass by today. According to the news or reports they estamated it to be a 10 TON meteor. I am by no means a scientist or astro physicist but woudn't a 10 ton meteor cause at leat an atomic blast? There would be no survivors where that thing feal let alone video of it... Any thoughts? Hoax?
  3. I was suprised to see these guys had anything at all, http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/sportsmans/Rifle-Bullets/category/cat100139/sort/bestSellerasce/ipp/24/pn/1/trail/2012:22%20Caliber/view/false
  4. Yeah nice, with the on going BS no one needs any drama in their lives. Looks great, I wish they would come out with a triaguler shape forend, nothing crazy....
  5. What parts did you change out, because that thing looks illegal. Remember the pistol grip does not count as a 922r part, the weapon didnot get imported with a PG. Change the mag to a USA mag and you are all good. Besides that it looks good, the forend is not made by CSS, it is made by Fugglystick something like that....
  6. What do you intend on changing out as parts? So far everyone here has at least changed out 8 parts and no one has gone to jail, so I would say this: Change: trigger group 3 parts mag 3 parts butstock 1 part forend 1 part and you will be good
  7. I would not go by this sheet, it is for a AK47 not Saiga's, Saiga's where not imported with pistol grips so you can not count that as a part. Again another issue is the muzzel brake, Saiga's where not imported with brakes/flash or any other attachment...
  8. REALLY?????? So what happened here? http://jonathanturley.org/2012/07/17/florida-police-pound-on-wrong-door-looking-for-suspect-without-identifying-themselves-thenves-then-shoot-and-kill-innocent-man-who-answers-the-door-with-weapon/ No one was procecuted.... The great thing is that in accordance to the US Supreme Court rulling a person has a right to defend themselves from false warrants, so if your house is served and it is the wrong house you have a RIGHT to defend yourself.....
  9. I could sure use a 308 bolt... Let me know if this is still bring attempted plz, PM inbound
  10. I did not know this, I only use it for my internal parts. I still like to know how accurate this barrel is.... Keep us up to date thanks....
  11. I see no issue with this, I would def clean with a good bore scrubber solution (copper fouling), then in the end a good swipe with grease, I would use Lithium Grease. Remember to pass a clean patch before you fire the weapon, too much will cause extra pressure that you do not want. I have been told in the past that non lined barrels are more accurate then lined.
  12. Thanks for the fix, I too would reload, but I did not know if someone already had theirs and began testing....
  13. Hello all, I saw many posts here about the rifle above, I was curious, does anyone know what the twist rate is? So my real question is: What ammo will you use with her? Will you reload? What bullet grain do you intend on using? Powder and so forth. Also if you are going to shoot Manufactures ammo, what brand? bullet weight? For those who are able to get one congrats and let us know your range results... Thanks
  14. I saw that, very nice work I hope you get your issue solved.
  15. BTT just a couple of pics guys please Thx
  16. I do not think I am going to be able to put this rifle back together, so if I list it for sale on like GB what can I expect it to bring in value? Items would be the receiver, barrel, front sight, gas block & tube, carrier, NO BOLT, trigger, stock nothing but the top end.....
  17. I just purchased what was said to be a Saiga X39 bolt, there are no markings on the bolt or the 3rd lug, like my 308, which leads me to believe it is not from a Saiga. I did find a U and an X with a dash on both sides but no other markings. Also does the X39 bolt have a spring loaded firing pin? This one does not. Can someone post some pics of yours and the 3rd lug if it exists? Thank you
  18. Look I am not trying to get into a pissing contest with you, all I am saying is that, around the year 2005 the GOV (BATFE) stated no more PG rifles into this country, so they came out with the Saiga rifle in a huntting style weapon. Now I see some how they got around that as well, hey I say great good for the people... The Norinco and others had already been in this country before the current ban of, I think the year was, 2005 do not quote me on that....
  19. PICS PICS PICS Very nice, I saw these on Classic and was very impressed with it..... Congrats
  20. These rifles came into the country when?????? Recently!!!!! Maybe I should have been more specific in the time frame, you know between 2005 - 2010, VEPR's where scarce and NO PG rifles where allowed into the country, remember no AK's "BECAUSE OF PG" so they created the Saiga to get around this. Now how they are importing these current productions I have no idea... If these are being imported today in this configuration then it would be legal.... Again installing a PG on an Saiga rifle triggers and has always triggered 922r compliancy... "This was the question"
  21. They saiga skeleton stock was an original import version. wrong It is legal to use and does not count as a pistol grip since the stock simply has a void or hole in the middle of it. You only violate 922r if you use high cap mags or add a muzzle break. wrong Saigas never imported with a pistol grip stock weapon unless it was a VEPR and very little of these came in, Saiga never had a synthetic PG stock that is an ATI stock, and 922r is violated if you put a PG on or a high cap mag, he did not say hi-cap mag.
  22. It is NOT OK, you just put a pistol grip on a sporterized imported weapon and is in violation of 922r....
  23. This a good question, but since you never stated which rifle you are reffering to makes it harder to answer. From my understanding, if you have a Saiga or non C&R AK style rifle then you can install a USA "10 round" mag and be compliant. The same goes for a SKS (except for C&R) you can remove a wood hunting style stock from a (example Chinese SKS) and replace it with a synthetic hunting style stock and be compliant. If you have a C&R then no you cannot, you would have to bring this to 922r compliancy. Now that I went back and read you are in Commifornia, I do not know, the ab
