  1. Pretty much as the title says. I have a Tromix DIY trigger guard I bought from MAA but decided to go with the Saigatech unit instead. $45 shipped to lower 48. I have a Chaos Wave muzzle brake for sale too. I bought it in one of the package deals but went with their warthog instead simply cuz I like it better. $45 shipped to lower 48. Both items are brand new and never used. Will ship usps with tracking number. Money order or paypal accepted Jeff

    Dilemma??

check the quality and complexity of his other work. Though he many not be familiar with saigas, the AK stuff isnt the most complex in the world. Maybe print off some how-to-s from this site on converstions to give him an idea of whats involved etc and some links to the DIY videos. That is the route Im likey to take. Ifound a local gunsmith who might be doing mine. He wont give me a quote till he sees all my parts and discusses what Iwant to do with the gun etc but Ive seen his work on other AKs and ARs and its pretty sweet.
  3. Thanks Rayman, that link just answered 3 or 4 questions I had concerning my conversion that I was having problems finding on the board. Awesome
  4. Maybe you guys can answer a question I have and cant seem to figure out. My parts list for my S12 is: Tapco T6 stock Tapco SAW grip Tromix Trigger group Tromix backplate Tromix DIY trigger guard Or Saigatech trigger guard (have both cant decide) SAW grip nut and bolt Chaos Tri Rail Chaos Warthog Breacher Chaos Porkypine Chaos package #5 My question is what do I need to attach the T6 stock to the receiver? I thought you could use either the ACE internal block or the Tromix Weld on backplate. I bought the tromix backplate because you cant find an ace bloc
  5. one reason is it keeps the trigger etc where it is rather than moving it forward closer to the clip as in proper AKs.
  6. yes. all Saigas and AK action rifles are regulated in MD. Yes MD has a 20 round magazine limit, to BUY them here. you can however go to PA, buy your 20+ round mags and use them in MD. You just cant buy them here. Ive asked several gun shops and 2 ranges about 30 round clips for my ARs in Md and they say its perfectly leagal to use them in MD, just not buy them. YMMV
  7. I had a lot of trouble contacting them by email. Something would happen where my emails would randomly get sent to their bit bucket and theyd never get them, and their replies wouldnt make it to me. Id ask 2 questions in 2 emails and get one answer but not the other, even though they answered 2x. Finally gave them a call and straightened things out. Ive only bought 2 mags from them so far but excellent customer service. I cant complain really
  8. I went to two shows today and all I could find were stock S-12s for $630-$700. $1299 for one of tonys guns is indeed a deal of the century
  9. I like it just the way it is. Sooo glad I preordered.
  10. Hmm I just put in an order for one a day or so ago. be cool as hell to win it instead.
  11. It will certainly be sooner than that, but I can't commit to a date as of yet. good to know, I have a .223 and a S-12 coming next week and the time will allow me to get $$$ together for the conversions, just hope I can get on the next waiting list and dont miss the wagon.
  12. Patiently waiting for the list to open up again.
  13. will it work with the porkypine?
  14. Eggzactly what I wanted to do once I eventually got everything. Thanks for finding this out! and thanks to Cameron for taking note and making it happen
  15. Where should I lurk waiting for Tony to announce when the waiting list is reopened??
  16. Hello all, Im new to saigas and have been out of guns for a while and have an S-12 19" in its 8 day wait. While Id love to have tromix work my new S-12 over, well 2011 seems forever away so Im going to try to assemble the parts myself and then either have a local shop do the conversion, or maybe a sponsor here if there are any close to MD or maybe get the guts to do it myself. I also have a Saiga .223 that I bought as well but that can wait till the zombie killer is done. Here is my plan. Please advise if Im moving in the right direction, let me know what Im forgetting and what I may b

  18. moved to Saiga conversions section. sorry
  19. +1 It threads onto the barrel like a brake, you use your protective thread cap like a jam nut, use with any thread on muzzle device that 1.125" in diameter or smaller. Chaos wave brake, Tromix shark brake! I'll see if I can round up some more info. Gotta say, you make some seriously gorgeous items for this gun. I want to buy everything you make...
  20. From the posts in the tromix forum, getting on the list was closed 0ct 24th. They are at 700+ and arent opening it up till 2011 is that not the case? thanks for the replies guys.
  21. Im interested in this too. Im picking up my s-12 in a few days and I really like what TROMIX does to the guns. Looks like a quality conversion and with 700+ orders stacked up well, they must be doing something right. Id be willing to wait till 2011 but hell thats only when we can get on the NEXT list...they might be putting me in the ground before I get my gun back. LOL does anyone have opinions on or experience with E-TAC or rifle dynamics? or any other places? Or is there any other option for a good quality conversion I wont have problems with, or get raped on the price? I dont mi
  22. Is there a wait list to get on the wait list? I didnt find this site or the guns till 2 weeks ago. damn.....
