  1. i sell nutritional supplements and i got some of those russian kettle weights at the store. I get bored up there sometimes and play around with them alot. They are pretty cool. Not about to pay for em, cause i can use em for free and what not. Good times!
  2. when i did my first conversion on my x39, it was the first time i had ever shot a rifle with a pistol grip. That first trip to the range, at the start i was getting a lot of double and triples. I had to adjust the way i was gripping the rifle because i wasnt used to gripping the pistol grip. After a couple of mags i got it figured out and all was well
  3. any chance of getting a full size team saiga poster.... 24" x 36" or something like that?? The mini ones are cool and all, but Id love a full size one
  4. Ofcourse, the obvious answer is to get BOTH!!! but, thats not always an option ive got both.... If you shoot A LOT, go with the 223 cause ammo is usually cheaper. The recoil on the x39 is more substantial than the 223, but its still nothing to even talk about If you shoot to wreck stuff, go with the x39...bigger bullet. Better for blowing stuff up in my experience All in all i think the 223 is the better plinker.
  5. yes..... you will have to play the parts game for that....although soon it may be a little easier because of the US made mags (count as three parts) that should be available before too long.
  6. thats really impressive.... like you said, its just a starting point, but ive always said these rifle have much more potential than most people give them credit for..accuracy-wise Great work and thanks for sharing your results!! HOOP
  7. i put buffers in all of my saigas. The green buffer in my S-12 has never given me any reliablity issues. I must say, i personally dont think they do a whole heck of a lot to reduce recoil, but they sure do a great job of reducing wear to the trunion, by keeping the rear of the bolt carrier from slamming into it... Does anyone know if the russian military/police use buffers to prevent damage to their S-12s???

    G3 MAGS

that is essentially how they make the really high capacity linear feeding devices...like the 50 and 75 round stick mags
  9. drum....drum....whats a drum???? oooooohhhh....you must mean a 'NLFD'. Yeah, uncle BATF doesnt think kindly to NLFDs in semi-auto shottys. I beleve knoxx had planned on making one a while back, but nothing came of it.
  10. measure once, cut twice...cause saws are more fun that tape measures
  11. i had removed the front bead to install a hi-viz fiber optic bead in place of it...and that little bastard broke off. screw it...im going back to factory....shoudlnt have messed with a winner
  12. the problem with using the folding stock/PG combo while remaining 922 compliant is that when you swap out the FCG for the tapco, the trigger group is moved forward in the receiver several inches so the reach from the pistol grip to the trigger is practiccally impossible. The tapco trigger group is not a drop in replacement for the factory trigger group Check out Ace stocks. They have some pretty impressive stuff in fixed and folders, then just get a seperate pistol grip to use with it hope this helps HOOP
  13. most of the time i just use whetever is cheapest. I stick to 2.75" most of the time. I dont see much need for 3"...for what i do anyways. The federal and winchester stuff from walmart, in the 15 round value packs is great, and not too terribly expensive. Ive had really good success with SPEER lawman buckshot. I did a post a while back with pics of what this stuff can do. Its pretty much fantastic....all that being said... shoot safe and shoot often HOOP
  14. sweet action cobra!! any help is always appreciated. thanks man!!
  15. that pretty much sums it up....whos got one and watcha want for it??? thanks much! HOOP
  16. Thanks, this is way overdue. We're just as excited to have these as everyone else. Best bet is to email sales@agparms.com just as Kevin said. Not all of the employees know exactly how we're handling the backorders/preorders. For now, email will work best to keep track of everything. We appreciate it. HELLS YEAH!!!!!
  17. man, no one here is claiming that a saiga is a sub MOA, or even an MOA gun. In the original post, the best group listed was 1.25 MOA. YES, an AK is not a match quality rifle, but that doesnt mean its not capable of excellent (sub 2 MOA) groups
  18. Sights have been ***************SOLD PENDING FUNDS*************
  19. j mack, i cannot speak on that mount, as i havenever used one, but adding a mount with an optic will not put you in violation of 922r....like you said, stay away from those hi caps
  20. [ take it down a couple notches bro.... those numbers might not be the norm, but its not that unbelievable. I shoot 2 moa with my 16" x39 all day long....1.5 from a .223 is not all that hard to believe. Just because most people cant, doesnt mean the rifle cant
  21. i definitely wanna see pics of this new beast, but im patient, and i can wait. Look forward to the range report. Good luck guys!!
  22. careful with that hi cap mag...unless it is US made and you have swapped out the additional part to be compliant on the other hand, im very interested to hear what you think about that mount
  23. I have used the tapce G2 in all of the conversions i have done and have never had trouble with them....maybe you just got a bad safety. The russians arent exactly known for their precision engineering ie the canted front sights and gas blocks ive seen. It seems the ruskies are big fans of "hand fitting" to "make" it work
  24. check out tromix.com you can find info there
  25. just took a quick look inside my x39....did you make any modifications at all to the FCG or the safetly lever?? From looking at mine, thats the only thing that really comes to mind. unless you got one of the new saigas, and there is something different about those...which i highly doubt
