  1. I got mine from ak usa. One their ak 103 clones. Not sure if they are still making them. Kvar had their versions also. Its hard to find a true russian one, but they are around too.
  2. i guess im the only one that prefers the texas ak trigger over a g2. i dont like the long pull on a g2. the tx ak is quick and sharp on release. the grooved trigger is nice without gloves.
  3. here is a pretty good write up on what happened, but to summarize, the engraver was on vacation when the atf first appeared for inspection. came back a week later and it wasnt done yet, so they seized the lowers. http://fishgame.com/2015/05/atf-confiscate-3000-guns-from-stag-arms-over-nfa-violations/
  4. If you are going with a retainer, you may wish to look up some of the traditional wood pieces. A nice set of set of Russian guards in red may appeal more. It's going to take a lot of mod on a psl guard to fit. If you are an inexperienced wood worker, this can be a tough mod.
  5. Just a cosmetic feature. Only ever appealed to a few people. Makes no difference to most since you can't add the fcg pieces.
  6. the psl guard is very long compared to the ak guard. not sure if it will mount to the receiver without cutting. as you suggest, it will need shortened to fit the saiga with a retainer. with the length of the psl guard, you may be able to mount it to the two pins sticking out at the gas block. i think several people have used them on their 308 saigas.
  7. im using the BP-02 mount, with a primary arms micro dot. returns to zero just fine and is very light for the combo. you can get a BP-02 at kalinka still. not sure if anyone else still has them.
  8. dinzag does great work, and the fcg works just as it should, but i have gotten to accustomed to my other two saiga's triggers. i am updating my 223. it was my first conversion and im just kinda bored with the set upand its too heavy also. no 223 should ever weigh 9.5 lbs. haha.
  9. was looking at their website but didnt see those on there. will check again.
  10. i have a dinzag modded g2. its very smooth but still has more play than i like. i had been considering shims for it but a new FCG may be a better route. i would like to see a photo of these out of the rifle.
  11. havent seen much of them yet, just the video. looks like a nice trigger pull without a lot of extra travel. i want to replace my g2 in my 223 and might look into these, or another tx ak trggr.
  12. i like the fact the folder has the hinge built on. most american folders have to have 2 or 3 pieces to work. interested to see their version of plum also. might go with the black stock on my 223. about to refurniture the whole gun to lighten the load.
  13. i have no interest in those either. they have all been very high priced and you can get a lot of ammo for the ak price difference.
  14. i had just looked at their site before coming back here. i was afraid of the price point too. glad to hear its within reason. i havent tried a RSA yet but i love the Texas AK Trigger.
  15. just read this article the NRA posted. not much info in it but Geissele\ALG Defense will debut 2 new ak triggers at the SHOT show. if any of you guys run across them, try to get some info. http://bearingarms.com/geisselealg-defense-confirm-two-ak-triggers-awesome-glock-optic-mount/
  16. tbryahn, Have you tried the 30 round galil mags? i have 3 for my 223. they are thinner and shorter than the circle 10 polymer mags. my rifle does not have dimples, but i dont see why they would not work with dimples.
  17. been good working and playing to much xbox. thinking i need to change my 223 up. gotta get rid of all the extra weight on the forend. can probably drop near 2 lbs with a different forend.
  18. just saw on GB a listing for 223 galil 30 round mags for 27$. has 500 in qauntity. best deal on those i have seen in years.
