  1. I agree with you that it's very sad to see this happening. >>Will this nightmare ever end? Yes. Things may get pretty rough for a while, but yes everything will be fine. Keep the faith brother.
  2. Welcome to the forum! It was a couple of years ago, but I did see where some shop had a setup for a bayonet on the S-12. I don't remember the details. It may be the same shop that had slant brakes available too. You'll need to do some searching on that. ETA: Was prob Dinzag I was thinking of. http://www.dinzagarms.com/saiga_12/s12_bayo.html ETA2: Don't think you'll be able to do a barrel shroud with bayonet.... the shroud will negate the bayonet hooking over the barrel. It would have to be some kind of very custom/expensive shroud to retain the bayonet.
  3. Yep, even the crazy whacky gun stories get more time than "armed citizen saves the day". I was also surprised the Chicago CCL Uber driver story made the news. So isn't that worthy of a hero award like rescuing people from a burning building? How 'bout taking some time from running red lights to recognize the guy Rahm?
  4. Yeah, that is nice! Much closer to what I'm looking for. I have the AR parts picked out but will have to mull this over too. .
  5. Google translation.... Hello guys read your words , part of the deal he made with me , and now disappeared , although poluchetsya my letter and go to the forum boar , I want to believe that he was a good man , but the facts suggest otherwise opka
  6. Saw this while cruising SlickGuns. Kind of tempting, but I'm going to do a .22 AR I think. .
  7. Seemed like a good time to dig up this thread, it being spring and all.... . . https://youtu.be/PqfS3dUuC9A . https://youtu.be/q7wNR1XnQ_4
  8. Spacehog, that AR is very sexy! I'm confused on the STG-44 .22..... Is that plastic or cast metal (potmetal, zinc, etc.) in that pic mancat? Check out this video.... starting at 4:50, he says the GSG .22 copy is 9lbs. and "mostly metal". . https://youtu.be/WSQ1VtUVjIU
  9. Wow... two cool suggestions right off the bat, thanks guys. I saw that STG-44 .22 a while back but forgot all about it, very nice. That bullpup stock with the fake can looks pretty tough too. Looks very much like the P-90 and reminds me of Samantha Carter which is also very nice. .
  10. The .22lr "tactical" sport rifles have become pretty popular and I'm thinking of adding one to the collection. (I know, how tactical can you get with a .22?... lol) I have a Marlin 795 (like a mag fed Marlin 60) and it's fine, but I'm looking for something "beefier". I was very close to buying a 10/22 a while back. It's probably the most popular .22 rifle ever, and I know they are both loved and hated. For now it's off my list though, simply because there are cooler .22 rifles out there. Specifically I'm leaning toward a Sig 522, or a real live AR in .22lr (with a Chiappa or othe
  11. Yep, and where's the video of the shooter entering the school? Who was "his car" registered to?
  12. As stated in the "Grassley letter" addressing the ammo ban, the ATF has no legal authority to determine "sporting use" of guns or the reclassification of ammo at all. Why is there any need for a compromise?
  13. Culver's burger meal as shown except onion rings instead of fries. Much better burger than McD's, BK and Wendy's. Yes, I know fast food is still "bad". .
  14. I believe this picture was from a gun buyback program. This fella whipped up these guns and got like 100 each Here's a guy who made one like that for a buy back event. . https://youtu.be/yXjnb55aAwM
  15. To me, the operation tagline “Mastering the Human Domain” and training for house to house searches (gee... what would they be searching for?) doesn't really feel the same as "Operation Enduring Freedom". This doesn't look like anything related to freedom at all. It looks more like a direct violation of the Posse Comitatus Act and the Fourth Amendment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution
  16. The usual tinfoil sites are posting about the "Jade Helm" military exercise scheduled for later this summer in several states. So not a big deal, the military always does exercises right? Except this exercise is specifically to train for containing public disturbances. It includes prisoner control and relocation, and house to house searches. And the operation tag line: “Mastering the Human Domain” ???? "Though disputing any ill intent, the Army Times admits that the Jade Helm drill is real, and that soldiers have trained for the approach – “mastering the human domain” – bef
  17. Is it at Academy? Looked through their 12G offerings but couldn't find it. Where is it?
  18. I have a Baby Eagle .45 I like a lot, it's a heavy steel frame mid sized gun (not well suited to carry IMHO). Also a Taurus compact PT-145 that is ok but I question it's long term durability (and I hate the stock sights). It was cheap, but it's been discontinued. If I was was to buy another .45 today it would be the XD Mod2. The double stack version of the XD-S. That's in spite of the silly "Grip Zone" wording molded into the grips. I like the looks of 1911's but just can't bring myself to buy one.
  19. The pistol grip conversion Is not very difficult, but it does help if you've had some mechanical experience and know how. Once you get the stock trigger guard off cleanly, you just paint the bare spot on the receiver and put it back together with the new parts. You don't have to cut the square hole for the pistol grip nut, the bolt on trigger guards are great. Somebody on the forum in your area would be happy to help you.
  20. Nice setup Chile. It's also really nice how easy it is for you to pull dinner right out of the ocean. You are much better prepared than most of us I bet.
  21. At least one sponsor has a bunch of them in stock (if their web page is correct). They also show several different conversions in stock. If I didn't have one already, I'd buy one.
  22. Now the auditor's spokesman got suicided too! "Washington (CNN)A month after Missouri's auditor committed suicide, police say the auditor's spokesman has shot himself in another apparent suicide. The death of Spence Jackson, the spokesman who had provided the official notice of auditor Tom Schweich's death on Feb. 26, capped off a bizarre chapter in Missouri politics and left questions about whether the two suicides were linked." http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/30/politics/missouri-politics-second-suicide/index.html Unbelievable.
  23. Watching how this plays out as I'm interested in this rifle. Hopefully it's a simple issue to correct or maybe even a break-in issue. I've seen the warnings not to use the BHO mags..... Anybody know if the BHO mags possibly cause any damage to the rifle/mag in use, or if they simply don't run well?
