Good luck - I, too, am in process of fitting mags to my JT well. I am going with Surefire - pretty much for the same reasons as you - I had them. I spoke to Jack in detail about fitting my well to my gun and fitting the mags. He was worth his weight in Saiga's. I would suggest sending him a pm - I know you've already started and figured it all out but his general insight is golden. Will wait to hear how they came out.

Thanks Man! -
I recommend posting a topic here on JT Engineering's section or send Jack a pm - He's a great guy and will give you the straight scoop. Good luck. I love my magwell

Wait, so you can't weld aluminum now? You cannot weld aluminum (mag well) to steel (receiver). I doubt brazing would be strong enough with the minimal surface area contact on the bottom of the receiver. Just drill and tap and use red loctite. Or if you feel the need to weld, tack the screwheads

Shandlanos - Can you explain a little more about the relationship between HS and RIA, I had no idea they were alike. Never heard much on the RIA's other than them being inexpensive but had heard very good things about HS 1911's and especially their 22s' Thanks, Mark -

What does the receiver have to do with it ? Cav Arms one piece polymer lowers have been known to fail, granted this was most likely due to pistol charges loaded into a rifle cartridge. While I am a proponent of polymers in firearms - I don't think they researched their specific mix, had read many stories of these lowers cracking and stretching. That's all. My apologies for making it appear as if I were blaming the receiver when it is obvious what caused the CAT Failure. Just laughed to myself at the coincidence of it being a Cav Arms receiver. -
Is this the first child ever frisked by a TSA? If the parents were truly outraged by the so called molestation of their child, they really dropped the ball on her recovering from the event by "Speaking out" Is this about the Child, the TSA, or the Parent? I ask you all to consider that before passing judgment. Even the incredibly liberal AP News does not name victims of sexual issues unless the victim has expressed permission to do so.

Cavalry Arms Receiver - nuff said -
Ok, this is going too far. http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/search/dispatcher.front?Query=jolly+rancher+hair&target=adv_article This is a page from a Chicago News Radio site that I searched for stories on this topic that I heard of the other day. Long story short: A girl saw a strange hairstyle and wanted mommy, a hairdresser, to duplicate it on her. Mom resisted until picture day (???) and proceeded to braid the girls hair with Jolly Rancher candy adornments at the ends. The girls teacher thought this was unusual and mentioned the experience to some friends / collea

While this appears to be an AK sling - it is listed as Russian while I was searching Saiga - http://cgi.ebay.com/Soviet-Russian-Original-AK-Saiga-Sling-Belt-NEW-/390305674397?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ae007f49d Good luck with your search. Would be interested to see what you find out.
