  1. Kinda reminds me of these Leinad SxS's - .410/45LC Cheap as all hell but pretty cool, out of production - I believe but this guy on GB seems to always sell 'em- http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=178513336 Not nearly as cool or authentic looking as yours, no folding stock, actually a pistol not a true shottie - gotta love that about the .410
  2. Does anyone else find this scary- The court grounded that right in the due process section of the 14th Amendment. The justices, however, said local jurisdictions still retain the flexibility to preserve some "reasonable" gun-control measures currently in place nationwide. ------ what is reasonable?
  3. A big thanks to Mike, Lauren, Craig and everyone else at MD - got the e-mail today that my card was declined - I got the emails saying to reply if you've moved, changed bank info, etc. and I blew it off - always too busy. They took my call, corrected my info and shipped the beauty all in the same day. Seems like the little bitches out here are just taking example of another chance to hike up their skirts and cry like the little pussies they are. My first experience with MD and my first drum!! All in all - I am one happy customer. Then again - I don't have to get mommy to hold my
  4. Happy Birthday - I pick 13 (after reading Paulyski's post on the dollar bill) Oh, and did I say - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!! h
  5. Elaborate. Please. I don't quite see what you don't believe in it.
  6. I have had the vehicle oem systems and thought they lacked quite a bit - I have had garmins for over five years with nothing bad to say. I got a new crackberry and the gps nav is included with the monthly so i thought it'd be better to put the garmin mount away for security's sake - no one has stolen either before, but I thought why not. I use my phone as an ipod since someone stole that and have found the phone gps to be a pain in the butt especially when someone calls you right before you needed that direction. how much do you ose the phone? if a lot, get a stand alone unit - i have hea
  7. How about a picture? Easier to figure out with a photo
  8. personally, I think blending it the way you did is the best example of seemless integration of the rear sight that I have seen - gotta get on mine. where'd you pick em up? RTG? - best price I've seen
  9. Wow - not to jack a thread but when props are due. Here's a man who makes a living off of doing these things for people after brilliantly inventing and painstakingly designing and building these marvels of the game, and he turns around and openly gives out instruction for free on how to replicate your own version. Another testament to the incredible business they have at Tromix, don't own one yet - didn't want to convert my first and Tony was backlogged so I grabbed one from MAA - but am continually amazed by the intellectual generosity of these guys.
  10. Hey Mullet Man - where in Northern IL are you? I'm near 94 and the WI border, always looking for someone to shoot with, my nearest Saiga buddy (with his own range) is 4 hrs north. Everyone else I shoot with, mainly shoot pistols. P.S. pretty cool read too.
  11. I have one in almost new condition - great gun, heard a lot of people bag on them but I got a good one. Most of the ones I've seen for sale had a lot of use to them and were as loose as any beat up akm. My advice is if it is in good shape with a clean bore and a decent price - go for it. Prices are all over the place lately but I would say $3-400 is fair.
  12. and. I didn't think it was a dumb question.
  13. Minute of Angle - geometry, 360 degrees in a revolution, 60 minutes in a degree, 60 seconds in a minute of angle. Another measurement you'll see is for milliradians - I'm not sure on the conversion there. I believe a close approximation of 1 moa is equal to 1 inch at 100 yards.
  14. Does anyone know what methods of attachment are acceptable to lengthen a barrel to legal minimum? I have heard silver solder is ok, some guy at the local gun shop (customer) chimed in when I asked the 'smith and he said "Loctite is fine - as long as it cannot be removed by hand or wrench". That sounds iffy at best to me. I would really appreciate if anyone knows for sure. I can silver solder but don't have a welder and it would be difficult for me to get the barrel to my buddy with a tig. Thanks in advance for any info
  15. While I will agree that Surefires are excellent lights - the cost may make them prohibitive to some. I have a few Surefires that I have had for years - I keep a G2 on my defense SAR1. I want to suggest a company that I have bought many lights from over the past year and they have great service and offer very inexpensive lights - my biggest problem is losing the darn things. I will make the disclaimer that I fully support and suggest everyone "buy American" whenever possible. But check out www.dealextreme.com they are a China knockoff seller - sort of. The last light I purchase
  16. Actually the name is Polish, 3rd generation Chicago native now can't get far enough from the Socialist Republic of Daley I have noticed the LPA sights on factory guns from FNH, Marlin, Benelli -etc. and think they look handy but haven't shot them and am looking for opinions.
  17. Does anyone have a pic of an S12 with LPA front or rear sights?
