  1. the main thing of concern for most people that do sport shooting is the "balance and swing." those$10k franchi's do have a beautifuly "balance and swing" where as ours is very front heavy. A PG will change your grip, thus affecting B&S, and a new stock has the potential too as well. However, you can counter alterations in B&S by adding weights to different locations on the gun, adjusting the length of the barrel, etc. Something like the T6 adjustable stock I would say is great for skeet. The adjustable length of the stock means you can get it to shoulder perfectly for you which is
  2. remind me not to f**k with them! that last sniper shooting...measure the time between the sound of the shot and the impact with target...i get ~1sec...round's moving about 2500fps is my guess, making that about a 1/2mile shot.

Haha, I actually only have magazines for ~85 and since I will be using 20ga until my 12 is all done (a long time from now), I can't share very well. But I'd be ok loading a magazine or two on the run if need be. Yep, drive's ~4 hours for me...I'd love to get there, rip through, and jet. Last match I didn't get home until ~11pm which is past my bedtime. I think it'd be fun, give it a go sometime and see what happens.

Wait, I'm confused, are you saying that in a single state there'd be 90 to 100 targets? That'd mean we'd need at least 10 10-round magazines which is a bit extreme. Not to mention set-up and shooting time would really slow down the day. A stage with 50 targets would be about max to stay practical but still give an advantage to those that have the ability to carry that much ammo, and even more of an advantage to Saiga-shooters.
  5. I got a new 12ga that's going under the knife (dremmel) soon. It's my first solo conversion so hopefully I'll make master yoda (cobra) proud since he taught me how to convert stuff. It's either going to be really sweet, or really horrible b/c it's going to have some very unique goodies on it.

ROFLMAO, that's priceless. Of course that one would have to be shot without an optic... But Saiga-friendly=LOTS OF TARGETS The stage where we rode around on the trailer was a ton of fun and Saiga-friendly. I'm just itchin' to try my new 15 round magazines out, so anything with 30-50 targets in a stage and we'll have HUGE advantages. That'd be 40 reloads for a tube-fed, but only a few for Saigas.
  7. Not to be a dick, but did we ever learn 922R compliance issues relating to integrated pg in stock? IF it's American made, I think it counts as 2 domestic parts so you'll still need one or two more I believe. If it's foreign made, please be mindful that it might not meet the compliance demands of our over-bearing, idiot, governmental control agencies. However, if it's an actual Saiga stock and imported on a Saiga (same caliber gun as it's going onto) then it shouldn't be a problem, hopefully. Please bear in mind, I'm not trying to be a dick I just don't want anyone getting into trouble.
  8. Do a quick search on this forum and you'll find a lot about the Kel-tec (and often Bersas in the same thread). I used to have one, but got rid of it b/c I didn't feel it was 100% reliable and thus I wouldn't consistantly carry it. I just didn't have the confidence in it that I needed to always have it on me. They're still good guns, but I just had a few too many jams/misfires to keep me happy. So long as she's confident with it, I think it's a perfectly fine gun. Just never ever feed it winchester ammo and it will be reliable and not shake her confidence. Also, the Kel-tecs are so l
  9. I'm thinking it would fit in front of the bulge... I'm the one that added the front sight after the poly-choke. It was a PITA to get it over it and I permantly deformed the sight, but it worked out. Next time I'll try to plan things in a better order because it took some creative JBWelding, grinding, and painting, but it's not too shabby. I did run into some problems though because when it was deformed it would no longer hug the barrel tightly so I had to attach it onto the polychoke instead of the barrel since it had a thicker diameter. The concern I'd have if it's in front of the bulge
  10. That looks like an awesome 3-gun, Sinistral! I'm jealous, I can't wait until I can consistantly afford those matches. Some of y'all have already stated why I think it's kind of quiet: 1) This forum is already SO extensive that there's little else to be covered without going over the same thing again and again. A good search and everything imaginable is covered, so it's nice that it doesn't need to be covered again and again. I think we're slowly running out of new ideas to do to our Saigas. 2) We might be worried about a party swing since Bush's approval rating is so low. I'm buying
  11. That baby's a beauty! Does the basic platform cost the same as a normal AR? And is that a rail on the stock? If so, what's it used for? If not, what is it? And instead of SBR, I vote silencer. Besides the cheaper ammo costs and lower recoil, that's the biggest advantage of a pistol caliber carbine, might as well take full advantage IMO.
  12. Yea, the wealth of information in this forum is rediculous. Often times threads are redundant, but you can always pickout tidbits of new information with every repetition. Spend an hour a day and read every thread in the forum and you'll be an expert on Saigas in no time. I know that's a lot of reading and a lot of work, so if you have exact questions use the search feature and see what turns up. If you don't find the answer, just toss your question out to the group as there's plenty of helpful and knowledgeable folks here. Welcome aboard!
  13. Haha, thanks. I got the message. Yea, DC is a terrible example of failed gun laws. It's got one of the highest murder rates, one of the highest violent crime rates, etc. So what makes them think that disarming the sheep won't bait the wolves? Idiots. But I won't rant. I called the police department and had a nice chat with the Lt. there. He REALLY knew his stuff, which very much impresses me because here where I live the cops don't know the gun-laws worth a shite, but I got it straitened out. There's a long list, but as a resident you can have long guns under certain restrictions.
  14. --> QUOTE(G O B @ Jun 5 2006, 09:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope your shooting buddy is moving to the Md. or Va. suburbs. D.C. BANNS all firearms. Even grandfathered long arms must be stored dissasembled. Terrible place to exist. (there is no life there, at least not as we know it!) G O B Nope, unfortunately she's moving into the Georgetown Suburb of DC itself. It's one of the nicer areas, but I won't live anywhere that I can't be armed. I looked into the gun laws and I thought long guns were allowed so long as they were registered within 48 hours...I'll try calling t
  15. Haha, you said "fixing", where're you from? I only hear that expression in the very rural parts of the mid/south east.
  16. Doesn't NY have a ban on any assault weapons? I realize that doesn't mean people don't have them, but I doubt they'd advertise them on the net if they did...
  17. Uh oh... looks like an evil scheme has been hatched it's time to take over the world "they're pinky, pinky and the brain brain brain brain brain"
  18. I'm moving my shooting buddy to DC, so I'm missing this match too...maybe July.
  19. Finally!!! Thanks man! Now I'm gonna have to start pesterin' you for a CD though. When's the first album gonna be available?
  20. Looks good, but forgive a bit of skepticism... Are there any pictures of the actual magazine? Right now I'm seeing an animation that was available on this forum months ago. No business address? I really want it to be true, but at the same time this could be a great opportunity for someone to walk with 55x1000=$55,000 with nothing more than a bit of time invested in web-design. Somebody please prove me wrong!!! email address listed isn't working either... BUYERS BEWARE
