  1. What good will it do by voting for Ron Paul is simply he is the only one who can take on Obama or Clinton. The undecided voters will go Democrap over McCain or Hucklebee. When most people are given the chance to hear Dr. Paul, they are on board with honesty, integrity, and TRUE change, not lip service change. I assume you're a republican 1911. You can't stand McCain, and you are hardly in the minority of Republicans. If you don't want Hillary or Obama, think real hard before you vote for someone who can't take them on once the general election is in effect. Americans are tired if not
  2. I'm all about Dr. Paul. I don't agree with only one of his stances, and his belief is that that particular stance belongs in the states hands, not the feds hands. I've spent a lot of money and time for Dr. Paul's campaign... as millions of others have. Many people think he doesn't have a chance of the nomination. That is not entirely a fact. Run the numbers on the delegates... factor in the delegates who've said they vote for whomever, but plan to vote for Dr. Paul, factor in the delegates not locked into a particular candidate because they're candidate dropped. Dr. Paul got some Thomp
  3. Thanks for that heads up. Along those lines, for the last few years I stopped buying ammo from online/mail order places and strictly buy ammo locally WITH CASH. I simply am trying to keep the database info on me a small as possible.
  4. Thanks Jim. Actually, I think it was your CAA stock that I saw that made me want one.... it's your fault I know they are not US parts, but I'll be ok with the FCG, PG, and hand guard US made. Topmaul, thanks for that heads up on the tan. Does anyone have that issue with the OD green?
  5. I am almost ready to buy my conversion pieces parts. I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge about the color matching of different manufacturers? I am going to go with either tan or od green stock, pistol grip, and handguard. Are the different manufacturers of these pieces parts close enough in color for it not to look way off? I don't need exact PMS chart matches, but I don't want way noticeable differences in coloring. I am looking at Command Arms Accessories and Tapco for these parts.
  6. I got my newest CTD catalog yesterday. They have Sellier & Bellot 3" 15 pellet 12 gauge shells 10 for $6.97. A bit cheaper than Bvamps Wallmart deal per shell. http://cheaperthandirt.com/AMM820-3264-2456.html
  7. I can't say for sure Topmaul, but without any uncertainty, these forums are a LARGE part of the popularity. As Cobra stated above, without these forums, people wouldn't know squat about them add to that a lack of accessories. Makc & Bvamp +1. A co-worker of mine was at the gun shop we both frequent. The owner showed Mike a S12 and a S410 that were ordered and not picked up. Mike bought them both. He showed them to me, and I ordered a S12. EAA era. I found these forums after my purchase.
  8. I love my SureSights. Although they are for pistols, I don't think with the distance between the sights on a long arm, they would work on a rifle or shotgun.
  9. Glocks have different sight heights. The 17, 19, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 33, 34, 35, 37, 37, & 38's use a 6.5mm high while the 20, 21, 29, 30, 31 and 32 use 6.9mm high sights. I do believe that the dovetail for all of them are the same.
  10. Thanks for the verification of price Ben and the others. The avatar is Slymenstra Hymen, a former character/singer from the band Gwar: http://www.slavepitinc.com/roster/stampe/index.html An aquaintence of mine knows the lead singer pretty well and when Gwar was in their hey day, I got to meet them all and was talking with Danielle/Slymenstra. She's a pretty cool person, down to earth and pretty mellow, not like her stage persona. Check out the vid of her, THIS VID IS RATED "R" and MOST LIKELY OFFENSIVE TO SOME/MANY. It's just a spoof commercial from one of the Gwar full length mov
  11. IZ-137, I've seen them from $400 to $320. Are these prices about the average? I found one locally I can get for $325 Thanks.
  12. Yep, as everone else said Mike; no problems. Better to wait for a great product than being sent junk.
  13. Haa haa, be careful you don't shoot your toe off
  14. I kinda groove on Command Arms Accessories stock. Someone on these forums has one, I don't recall who. I do remember they had good things to say about it. It's not made in the USA. http://www.commandarms.com/product.asp?pID...57&c=304018
  15. From what he said in post #12 in this thread: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=19436 He will be making two different versions. The first one will be for stick mags and then down the road he will be making a magwell that will work with stick and drum mags.
  16. My AR loving brother found his AK loving brother a Boker automatic folder knife. These go for low to mid $30 USD on the net. Boker has quite a few variants in their Kalashnikov line up and this is the low end. It's a decent knife and of course the case it comes in is pretty sweet as you can see below. The only thing I don't really care for is the safety; but that's a minor issue. The knife is approx. 4" folded and 7.5" open, so it is a bit on the larger size (for my uses anyways). What would make this knife perfect to me is if it were a bit smaller and if you could swap the side th
  17. Thanks for the heads up gopensyall, I appreciate it. In northeast Ohio, they are $1.98/box from a normal $2.70
  18. Thanks for the update Mike. It sucks, and I am with the previous people's posts... not your fault. Pick your spirits back up Mike, you have quite a large fan club here due to your professionalism, keeping everyone informed, and your obvious attention to quality and detail. If by chance anyone is stoopid enough to give you shit about this delay they can kiss off. Running your tree company AND MD Arms definately take it's toll. This delay is a good time for a break for you. Take a break Bub
  19. Thank you Dinzag for the explanation. For a S12. I would like to use a CAA stock which is not a made in the USA stock. If I do the USA PG, trigger, hammer, and handguard I will be ok, yes? That would give me 9 foreign parts from what I am counting. Also, adding maybe Cobra's rail or a rail that slides on the side rail made in the USA, adding a muzzle brake, those count towards US made parts, yes? But that doesn't matter does it; you need no more than 10 foreign made parts regardless of how many USA parts you have.
  20. I went through this about 7 years ago. I spoke with my local police chief, my county sheriffs dept, my states attorney general, and my local ATF bureau. None of them had any definitive answers, and none had the exact same thoughts as any other dept. I simply wrote up a bill of sale like Wali has above, although I added the words "I am legally able to own a firearm in the state of ****" and as also mentioned, I got dude's SS# from his drivers license. Now a days, if the SS# isn't on the drivers license, get the D.L. number and also the date the license expires on the paperwork. C.Y

  22. It doesn't take anything close to a machinist to do the conversion. If you gunsmith needs to read the direction than you could just read them yourself and do it just as easy as him. The directions are self explanatory. Give it a shot yourself or go with someone that doesn't have to practice on "your" gun because you can do that yourself. There are quite a few people hear that could either greatly help you or even do it for you. Mike or anyone, how many hours would think it would take someone of decent overall life competence to complete the work Erin wishes to do?
