That joke is getting way too old.

If the mag gives you feeding probs, you could pick up the current style feed lips from agp. Might fix it.

Yes about the threads of the buffer tubes being the same. Can't help you with the other

You can use a fine flex hone. Also will shine the bore up like no other.

Will you ever use the optics rail? In not, go left folder

Jack, Ive read where you like to set up competition saigas with a progressive spring setup using this guiderod. Since im not much into the comp scene, do you happen to know a baseline of what lbs springs to use to make the gun as close to factory specs but with a progressive setup? Also, what is preferred, the heavier spring in the back, or in the front? Or does it even matter? ETA: And is a progressive spring setup okay to use with magnum loads?

Its not pinned or staked. Do a yeoldetool says and cut a slot in the rear sight running perpindicular to the gun and drift it out.

As lewie stated, R&R Targets have the bolt carriers. They are working on producing US made bolts as well. No other US manufacturer offers bolt or bolt carrier replacements and factory original parts are just as scarce. Occasionally youll find someone parting out a weapon, which at the current time is your best option. Saigastock had extractors in stock recently but they are now out of stock. CSS carries the tromix strikers and springs as well as the Tom Cole HD piston.

Recoil Reduction: Mid-barrel Comp vs. GK-01 Brake
sapper1371usmc replied to lsxevo's topic in Saiga-12
How does the molot style brake compare to the tromix monster or bonesteel arms brake?............. Just kidding! -
how many of you have rounded corner on bolt carrier channel?
sapper1371usmc replied to Goldeneagle76's topic in Saiga-12
That last 1/4-1/2" is the extractor tension and extractor slot. I wouldn't round off any corners in the bolt carrier. . -

E-store has (3) Promag 12rd drums left in stock...grab'em
sapper1371usmc replied to Goldeneagle76's topic in Saiga-12
Comes from someone who has never used their drums. Now if we were talking stick mags, then yeah. -
Somebody posted a few days ago that rifle gear in Cali had some

That's a deal. The Saiga 20 at my local shop was $899. Not really. When they were in stock, the best deal going was the sgl12-07 that kvar was selling for $879. These came into the country with std ak stocks and pistol grips with the trigger in the correct place. Not to mention no extra holes in the receiver and the proper ask trigger guard riveted in place. And the pg is a Russian saw style. I don't know why anyone bought the unconverted s12s over these anyhow. To me the extra 200 for the sgl made since

Will any foregrip made for an AK fit this rifle?
sapper1371usmc replied to Goldeneagle76's topic in Saiga-12
You could prob make it work with careful dremel work. Maybe pick up a cheap UTG tri and mod it. -

sapper1371usmc replied to Goldeneagle76's topic in Saiga-12
You need one made specifically for an s12. The barrel is much thicker than any ak rifles. There are plenty of vendors who make a railed handguard. You might be limited to a tri rail due to your rear sight base setup. -
Looks good man

Finally doing the conversion..Question about parts.
sapper1371usmc replied to Notefinder's topic in Saiga-12
Yes. Never buy promag stick mags. Their drums however, are good to go. Also, the keepshooting dot com 5rnd magazines are a good alternative to the original russian 5rnd mags. -

sapper1371usmc replied to Notefinder's topic in Saiga-12
For mags, I prefer SGM Tactical. For drums I prefer MD Arms for 20rnd, and Promag for their 12rnd drums. The 12rnd drums are more practical than either the MD20 or the SGM 12rnd stick mags. But the MD20 is a lot of fun when wanting to blast away as fast as possible. -
Tried everything. Still won't cycle low brass.
sapper1371usmc replied to American Capitalist's topic in Saiga-12
or more if needed. If you have 2 ports, add 2. I haven't seen him offer any products or services for sale. Bragging is another issue, and not a problem with forum rules. Telling people how to do it themselves is not a business either. I'd like to see him have a business account too, but not until he is operating a business. There. Fixed it back for you. I can get a 3 port gun at .093" ports and 4 port guns at .073" to cycle 100% on any of the bulk ammo for hundreds of rounds without cleaning , even more so the 4 port especially since the entire port surface area is large -
Ugly? The non magwell version looks just like an S12 with the AK rear sight leaf conversion. Minus the 20" barrel and the pic rail on top of the receiver cover, what makes this gun so ugly when compared to an S12? I think most are giving this gun a hard time since it is a direct knock-off of the Saiga 12. Not to mention the goofy name. But if it functions good, and of quality construction, who gives a crap. Only time will tell if these guns can be restored to proper "russian" configuration and has parts similarities with the saiga. Im not particularly fond of the 20" barrel and the pic rai
