"Ivan The Terrible", first time out since conversion.
beefcakeb99 replied to goldenpony's topic in Saiga-12
If you can polish your rails you could do your own fcg. Just clean things up and make sure nothing from your conversion is loose or otherwise altered what worked well before the conversion. Start from the top and work your way down. You've diy this far why stop now. -

Per our previous conversation, I'll be there the week before working. Too bad I can't drive, but they don't have enough parking passes. sucks balls and I'm sure a taxi that far would be damn near a hundred dollars. To bad I'll be 15 hours away back home or have no ride or place to stay until I could get back or I'd just stay or get dropped. Off,I love fishing but freshwater is my only existence, love bass fishing. But those big salt water fish I'm sure are much fun. If I can figure something out I'll try to stay and go with you, maybe if a bus ticket home i isn't too expensive I could go that -

I Can't remember from your other threads whether you have checked your ports for obstructions or not, how many you have, and whether they are covered or not. I'd look at that, including cleaning up any burrs on the moving parts, and work on cleaning it all up, then try again before making too many modifications -

Damn on a sweet model to make it even worse. I can offer nothing but my sad shoulder to cry on.

It's all here! You are at the best place to learn. And that sounds about right on pricing to get your ultimate saiga 12. And ultimately you could do every bit of that at home if you take your time and have all the tools necessary.
-
Yea you're going to need to search and read a lot like everyone does. You can do a lot of that yourself but are going to need a tax stamp to shorten the barrel like that. Idk for sure, the handguard looks short so more than likely, but the gas system looks like it's been shortened as well. If you are compete noob like you are suggesting, and afraid to get into it unlike some members here you will obviously want to farm it out. I'm confident that you could at minimum convert it yourself but if money is not a problem then just pay the additional cost for a builder supplied shotgun. You can

Is the SAIGA 12 or 20 the PERFECT Home Defense Shotgun??
beefcakeb99 replied to Nala's topic in Saiga-12
where do people get this regurgitated bullshit? I'd like a citation. I use the s12 as hd shotgun about as often as I ever get to shoot home invaders heh. My pistol is on me almost 20 hours a day but the s12 stays ready with steel mags ready. -
if shtf what would you rather have?

like hell you say! Everyone knows this isn't possible. Only ar are capable of shooting that far. -

I wouldn't be opposed to a spare recoil assembly. And maybe the rare folder latch. Or legit trigger guards maybe? -
I'd never be able to debut at a club... I'd try to run a hundred through privately

Seen them many times locally and even worked security for them two weeks ago. -
Glad I could be helpful! Jim Fuller is likely the most knowledgeable guy on AK's alive now. wow you can't be serious

I don't own both, but my cousin has 7.62 and I'm a 5.45 user and most certainly shoot more accurately. Stationary clays, and Easter egg shells with my 5.45 all day long... but I'm sure with proper trigger time that would be easy with either. One thing you will notice the more linear ballistics is in the 300 meter range.

I recommend, while waiting for the range, racking the bolt carrier as much as you can daily.
-
Nice, even better including pictures without request. Even better that you used the resources instead of not. Wish more new members were like yourself. Range report?

No worries we are just ribbing ya. Must give noob some hell. But the conversion looks good. Is that it's final form or do you have an itch to mod it anymore?

Actually I think your looking for "До скорого" but a native speaker would have to clarify. Gotta be careful on a Russian forum asposted above dasvidaniya is Russian for "Until we meet again" No plans for a muzzle device. Just curious as I cant make up my mind if I want or not
