  1. SJ, I appreciate the reply. I didn't really need instructions, I was just thinking a few units could be sold by awareness of the product and how easy it is to use it. I sent an email on the site, but it looks like they are tied up until the 23rd. I understand though. Gotta break when you can evl....
  2. How much would you be willing to spend on a barrel? You could find a used stock S12, pirate the barrel, and sell the rest of it. I have seen a few threads in the 'WTB' forum wanting bolt, carrier, and gas tube. Sometimes you just have to find an angle and work it to get what you want. ETA: keep just the reciever and barrel, swap out your favorite guts and furniture as needed. Sell the rest.
  3. Assuming I'm reading your post correctly, you're asking about the factory handguard related to barrel length, right ?? That would be ten inches, which places the end of the handguard just short of the end of the barrel, like this: Jeaux, What is the lowest powered ammo you have used in that weapon? I have seen it here before, but didn't notice it had a full handguard on it. Looks mean and I like the use of the long guard.
  4. Well.... you have to buy another weapon to get another barrel, as far as I know. It may be possible to modify a more common barrel for use in a S12, but I have never heard of anyone doing it. Anyways, what happened to your barrel?
  5. IIRC 12".... with port work of course. For reference, I think the barrel length of the 12K on the home page here is 12" and it has a Russian choke on it.
  6. Does anyone have a link to pics for the above decribed operation? I've been trying to find out how to do this for a while. Any help greatly appreciated.
  7. I ordered on the 17th and recieved my items on the 20th. The prices were great on the items I selected, shipping was fast, I recieved the member discount, and the order was accurate. Everything is perfect and I can't thank you enough. It is refreshing to get some above-and-beyond great customer service. I knew it would be a good experience.... I could feel it in my gut when I was ordering. Greg, you are the best and I will absolutely order from you again. Don't change the recipe.... you most certainly have it nailed down.
  8. I have asked questions on the forum about cutting the barrel to 18 1/8" on my S12. After deciding I would do it anyways despite people saying it would be a hack job, I started on the project. The barrel is threaded to where it would be if it were 18 1/8" and it looks good. I need to crown it now. I searched for '12ga crowning tool' and .... wah-lah, Dinzag arms has had everything I needed the whole time. You guys (Dinzag) should post in the 12 forum about having the the tools needed for the job and maybe do a little tutorial on how to do it, not to mention how easy it will be with the right to
  9. Thank you for the replacement puck. You guys didn't have to send a Twister, I just had the plain jane stock type. Anyways, it fits in the weapon fine and I am pleased to have it. Thank you for standing behind your product.
  10. What size are your 3 ports? Here are some pics of hammer comparison and a hammer I modified. I didn't get a final pic of the modified hammer, but it is easier to tell where material was removed in the ones I am posting. Hope this helps.... From near to far in the first 2 pics: stock hammer, reprofiled Tromix Mod'd G2 (your final hammer profile should be close to this one), virgin G2 before I modified and profiled it Last 2 pics: G2 after grinding, still rough and unfinished. Note where it is high and didn't get ground a lot. On the mag.... I have 3 Surefires and exper
  11. Just do it.... you know that deep down you really want to. You should post a pic of it in it's lowly nuetered state and add a poll. Maybe with choices like.... 1- Restore it to it's intended evl configuration 2- Keep it nuetered and enjoy the horrendous trigger feel.... and Fudd look 3- Pie Gotta put pie in there or it isn't a real poll. This could be.... your future
  12. Looks evl.... Looks blk.... Looks like a wpn.... Must be an evlblkwpn. Looks nice, but you need another so you can have evlblkwpnz....
  13. If you are only waiting on one drum.... joke's on you. I'm waiting on FIVE EVL BLK MD-20 DRUMS No fooling about it....
  14. Before you install the BHO, check the way the hammer rests against the tail of the bolt. It should rest flat instead of just touching the top corner. The hammer may need reprofiling. I have had to reprofile all of my G2s (Standard and Tromix Mod'd). Let us know if you need help/pics.
  15. Up for sale is a Tromix 8 slot flash hider for S12. It is in good condition with no rust and no thread issues. Will trade for unvented Polychoke II for S12 or will sell for $70 shipped via USPS Priority 2-3 days. USPS MO only. Item will ship next day or next day the PO is open. I have 100% positive feedback at eBay (dwpnz), Gunbroker (evlblkwpnz) only one $1,288 transaction there, and AR15.com (evlblkwpnz).... here too. I don't have any good pics of it, but it is on the S12 in my avatar. It looks just like every other Tromix 6 slot.... mean.
  16. +1!!! you already got the tactical S12's, wood furniture looks awesome on these IMO, especially with your stack of md 20's sittin next to it I scored one of the Saiga rifle handguards that has been modified to work on the S12 and I want to hold out for a triangle folder or I may even settle for the solid folder. I actually have one of the FSE polymer 'faux' triangle folders that I am going to rob from another AK.... and a MD Arms Molot style grip when my drums come. I'm excited.... we are close. On the other hand, I just ordered 2 sets of East German bakelite/plastic furniture
  17. None of my S12s have Gfxr plugs and they run very well with Winchester Universal. If you call increasing adjustability 'fixing' the gun, then the plug fixes something. Regulating gas via the Gfxr plug does not 'fix' the issue of having too small or to few gas ports. Nothing against Gunfixer or his plug, but I could find a few other things I would rather spend $40 on.... like a Dewalt Cobalt drill bit set so I can truly 'fix' my weapon. good luck and welcome aboard. Glad you stopped 'lurking'.... it's creepy, lol. Go ahead and make room in the safe for the next S12, and the next, and the next.
  18. I have seen a few inquiries about Esteban/ETAC lately questioning whether or not they are conducting business. Well.... my issue is quite insignificant compared to the issues of some here that have done business with ETAC. I had a bad puc, they offered to send me a replacement. It took a good long while, but it came today and it is actually one of the 'better' ones. Honestly, I was skeptical that they were really going to send anything as long as it has been. Maybe they are busy trying to get some weapons out the door to the customers that have been waiting for so long. Who knows? They seem to
  19. Well.... the lack of a chrome lined barrel on the Yugos is a dealbreaker for me. As long as you clean it well it should be fine though. I just prefer chrome.
  20. All of mine are '08s, even the one I just bought. All of them have needed work to run like I want them to.
  21. Almost PARTY TIME!!!!! Mike, Not sure if you are reading here, but thank you for the update. I know it may still be a while, but this may boost morale for the meantime.
  22. I realize your intentions are for the best, but your membership date is after the first round of Mike's drums and maybe you don't realize that similar comments started a giant shit storm where impatient people actually were making wild accusations and wanting constant 'updates', etc. I know you mean well, but by now we can take MD at his word and the job will get done. Patience please. We and many others are waiting. I heard about the 'poo fest' about the first round of pre-order, but it must have been a bigger deal than I realized. I'm confident that he will get them moving as fast as
  23. Bigj, I appreciate the good info. I spent quite some time on the ATF file. I learned a great deal about a bunch of things I always wondered about. Looks like I need to call them before I make a move. I don't like doing things over and over. Thank you, evl....
  24. I know Mike and co are busy getting things together for us, but a little 'Hi guys, almost there', 'Still trying to get a few things in-hand', or some little update like that would make many of us refrain from the other negative inquiry and canceling orders. I hope things happen soon as I am staring at a freshly reworked brand new S12 that awaits parts that are in the same orders as my drums. I keep telling myself that every day I wait is a day closer to 'Toy Time'! Come on Mike.... we're pulling for ya.
