  1. I've shot thousands and thousands of NATO military ammo from a variety of countries when it was like a arms bazaar at gunshows, including the Swedish 5.56, they all basically perform the same, one no worse then the other. that's the whole entire concept behind standardized ammo (NATO) it's all loaded to the same specification, powder composite, bullet weight and construction etc... so it will function and perform to other NATO country's ammo bottom line, you won't be taking any gamble buying NATO surplus ammo, it's all good. now buying ammo made in india or pakastan, that'
  2. all military ammo is going to Berdan primed, if you want boxer primed for reloading commercial .223 is the way to go. as for "filthy crap", "clean", you have to clean your rifle anyway, so what does it really matter there? as for "constancy" all military ammo is going to hit what you're aiming at if you zero it for that LOT number, of course that will change from LOT number to different LOT number. if you're looking for something in the sub-MOA range, military ammo is not the way to go.
  3. how about a choice of; ALREADY HAVE A SAIGA OR VEPR. which is what I would have checked.
  4. ruling 41P was suppose to have taken effect this past june, but they are delaying it until jan 1 2015. so if you want a NFA item, you still have time, though very little to get your form1, 4 in on a trust. if it was me I would not dilly dally http://silencernews.com/atf-41p-delayed-until-2015/
  5. yes, these are made 100 percent in RADOM PLANT in Poland when I get my PPS43 9mm drum done, I'll post it on YOUTUBE and link it on this thread.
  6. I would say it would be .311, like the bore diameter of the TT33. fact is all 7.62mm Russian guns have that bore diameter, so I don't see why that would be any different
  7. for me, I don't get all wound up around the axle over the things I have no control over. all that does is raise you BP and it's still going to be the same situation, only this time you're just that one tiny bit step closer to stroking out and ending up drooling on yourself in a wheelchair
  8. did I say anything like that was nonsense, or there wasn't ice ages etc... etc... etc.... ? NO. I pointed out, and rightly so, when darth wrote, "Everywhere there are signs." something is coming is nonsense, or more precisely; dark ages superstitious nonsense. go back just a couple of months ago with this "blood moon" nonsense thread. "signs" are for the frighten ignorant medieval peasant that believe in that hogwash, which looks like a lot of them are still around in the 21st century
  9. that's a good question, a letter to the TECH BRANCH would be the way to go for the definite answer, or maybe there is a ATF letter about that on the net somewhere. but me personally, here is how I see it, which is not legal advice. the way the law is for standard rifles (non-SBR'd). you can't take a receiver (which is the firearm) that was built as a rifle and make a pistol from that, that would be consider a SBR. now having said that, the way I see it - if you take a pistol and you make a SBR, even if you take that SBR off the registry, it was built as a rifle, so I don't believ
  10. every single culture and religion that came and went and a lot of them today all had/have their own "doom and gloom prophecy" with "signs". so I put all these "signs" in it's rightful category; dark ages superstitious nonsense
  11. OK, you live in Phoenix, Az. you should know and expect that it gets blast furnace hot there, every year, so it's not something new. even I know it gets up in the triple digits there and I'm in the frozen NE. kinda remind of a lot of people that live here in NE Ohio, every winter it's freezing cold and snows, but to a lot of them who live here for decades they act surprise about that commenting like "damn it's cold outside". duh yeah, it's fricken winter in NE Ohio what do you expect, sunshine and 80 degrees?
  12. I believe this says it all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NIP2g8MCXg
  13. already have a couple AR-15s, one is a M16A1 wannabe, assembled from a complete NIW COLT USGI M16A1 upper assembly, I bought back in 04. the other is a M4wannabe on a ARMALITE lower assembly. I also have a couple AKs in 5.56, a SAR 3 and a Bulgarian SLR106UR.
  14. didn't put that much effort into it, you just needed 3 main character in the story, dave, chuck, and wayne, it basically wrote itself.
  15. that was a good one, what I would have done, is what I done back in 08, on the 1919 board, when the heller case was heard and the justices were going to deliberate the case. it just so happened that it fell before 1 april, so I wrote up a factious article, with a link at the end for the complete story. Man there was like 4 or 5 pages of comments, that I got them good, with the april fools joke. but then some of them really, really had their panties in a bunch and their tampon leaking over that joke. fuck 'em if they can't take a joke SCOTUS rules Second Amendment is not an i
  16. Buying a CHAINSAW... Recomendations? yes, go to garage sales and look for a chainsaw that was here in AMERICA, like CRAFTSMAN. yeah, it will be old, but it will be 1,000 percent better made with quality parts then any of the new made in china junk out there now. and it doesn't matter which brand of chain saw you buy, even if it say Sweden, inside it will be junk Chinese parts. my father bought a CRAFTSMAN back in the 80s, and he used it constantly during the summer cutting wood for his stove in the winter, and the only part he replaced was the chain. I have that chainsaw, and it s
  17. since the matches are going on for the rest of the month, I decided to take that 1.5 hour drive to see what the NORTH STORE had in stock, all the other times I went up there they were well stocked every day during the matches. not so this year, it was pitiful, selection was just about nonexistent, loaned anything has dried up, unless you wanted to pull that large trigger and buy $1200 M1D and $3K M1C, no scopes. HRA Rack grade field grade was available, service grade was all gone. they had a few 1903A3s and some drill rifles, but other then that, nothing else. I least I bought some 30-06, so
  18. well, that what I need is a steel mag. I've already did a mock up on my plastic mag on how I want the spacer to fit in there, seeing this is a trapezoid shape mag and not straight walled mag, which would make it a lot easier if it was straight, and it LOOKS VERY, VERY DOABLE. just have to get the thickness of the spacers worked out and a couple of other crucial details. and I will be able to make a 70 round drum for the M11 as for the UPLULA. I have one, and it's great for loading pistol mags, and I can deal with the 7, 10 and even 15 round capacity using that. but if I can mod
  19. Soviet soldiers raising the Soviet flag on top of the Reichstag. both subguns PPSH, and PPS-43 present note; that song is NOT called the "Russian revolution", it's call FARWELL SLAVIANKA if you're interested here is the English subtitle of the song,
  20. FBI never use the M11, the subgun of choice back in the 80s was the UZI for the FBI, secret service etc... OK, I have to confess, I also bought a NIB COBRA M11 in 95 that was manufactured in 89. it was 225 bucks, and it was one of those stupid "impulse buys". I also bought a pre-94 made TEC 9, yes I sinned again , for around the 200 dollar mark that same year, again another stupid impulse buy. I sold the TEC for 450 a few years later. so I guess you could say that not only did I get my money back for the TEC, but it paid for the M11 as well about the onl
  21. haven't tried at 100 yards, the land I was shooting on was limited to like 50 yards maybe a bit less, that had a small hill as a backstop. I went there with the sole intention to check the function of the gun, in case something was wrong I can send it back ASAP for repair, it was just a happy surprise that the regular PPS43 mag worked for 9mm. which is a big cost saver there if you plan on buying one and want more then the 2 modified mags that comes with it, as it cost just about double what their standard 43 mags sell for 15 bucks Vs. 28 or so bucks (at ROYAL TIGER). course for me, i
  22. don't know about them or the quality of their products, but if you paid by credit card you have no worries about getting the money back if they don't send it to you. you can get trunnion rivets from K-VAR
  23. found a fun way to annoy them, as much as they annoy me. I figure what is good for the goose is good for the gander. I have my computer on my desk along with my phone, and the computer is on all the time until I go to bed that is when I turn it off. so having said that, bookmark a really annoying or fun song or anything you want. then when they call and it's a live person, open up that site and while they are still talking put the receiver close to the speaker hit play and when it's done hang up the phone I cue up this song at 23 seconds and then hit the play icon
