there is a good thread on options for filling in engravings over on the XD forums. Seems one preferred options is to use nail polish, and then wipe away excess with something like newspaper with acetone on it, paper towel is too porus and gets down in the engravings, taking out whatever color you use. note....i've not tired this in person....so don't take my word for it.

i'm a fan of the bullpup look....but i've never gotten to shoot one to know how they handle. Don't think a drum would work well with this set up......

K-VAR may be assholes and their prices may suck (i've looked many times and not ordered because the mag prices are nuts) but as a customer and member of this site, i would like to be able to hear about a sale, and then make my own decision as to whether or not it is a deal or i would be better off going through one of our sponsors. Well....to be prescription only it has to go through research, testing and be considered a drug by the FDA, anything else is a supplement and does not require FDA testing or a prescription. Buyers have to be smart enough to see when they are getting screwed. As in any business, there are shitheads waiting to take advantage.... I know people dumb enough to go get prescription strength ibuprofen.....for god sake, do the math, prescription is 600 mg, over the counter is 200 per tab....take 3 over the counter pills and go to bed.....save your damn money.

Pharma spends about $750 million to bring a single new drug to market, that includes the original chemistry to develop a new compound, then test it in cell cultures, then animals, and then humans (i've seen the human clinical trials cost anywhere from $2500 to $25,000 per patient depending on the condition and testing required - no the doctors are not getting rich on these studies, usually it is break even or just a littel better

yah....i'm in the "get a safe" camp a decent compromise safe is the Sentry 14 gun fireproof safe.....and yes you can get more than 14 guns in there.....gotta think outside the box a bit to arrange them though. Hey WJ. the family and I were on the Mouse grounds for 4 days around the 4th of July and on the 4th itself. That was a freaking zoo! I hear ya on the hot and muggy part. I think the states will be hard pressed to beat this one. In general, a state can write laws more restrictive than the fed, but seldom can they reduce the restrictions of a federal regulation. Consider that if you passed a national law that said no abortions of any kind, do you think the states should have the power to ignore that federal law and do what they want? careful what you wish for.....

My preference is the 870 12 ga with smooth bore slug barrel and mag extension, loaded with bird shot (in my house, i don't need to shoot more than 10 yards anywhere) Gun looks just like a police shotgun, and would be very hard to argue that i used excessive force since it is essentially the same as the police use. here is the thread i had going on them about a year or so ago. Pardner discussion I got one, it really is built well. I like them better than the new 870 express models, not as nice as my wingmaster through. To be sure you can get a great deal on a hell of a good home defense gun. I got mine for about $130 OTD. 5+1 tube, you can get an extension, the receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope mount, good recoil pad.
