  1. See if you can find one of those plastic corrugated campaign signs. It's like cardboard but plastic. Use that as your backboard and your pellets won't go through.
  2. I do THAT all-the-time but I AM a dick so...
  3. Those are Cali compliant parts if I remember correctly. Also, I heard that PSA uses FN barrels in their uppers...
  4. Dude, that's a SMOKING deal. You're so squirrelly, you've got a bushy tail!
  5. Big recommendation for dry-fire practice here. I also recommend handling the weapon quite a bit. You want to develop good muscle memory so that you end up shouldering the weapon the same every time. This isn't just advice for the AR-15 platform either...
  6. I dunno, it might be a good analogy if you meant that it won't run, but if you meant that it would burn the motor up, no, not a good analogy.
  7. Also, the search function isn't the best around, most just do a google search on the topic they desire information on and simply include saiga-12 somewhere in the search, it will bring you here...
  8. Yeah, I know, I mean the federal agent who was only knocked unconscious when shot in the head with birdshot and the recent incident where a burglar was shot in the face with birdshot and only suffered serious but not life threatening injuries should PROVE beyond a shadow of a doubt that birdshot is CLEARLY the best choice for home defense! Oh wait...
  9. If you live in an apartment, you need to use a handgun with frangible ammo for defense...
  10. I clean mine by running a mag full of magnum slugs...
  11. I use an AR-15 for home defense as well (among others)... 5.56 rarely penetrates brick. I would have no problems with my neighbor using one ESPECIALLY with TAP ammo! Since we are stating opinions, I feel that a Judge is a horrible home defense weapon unless you can influence the situation so that your target is within twelve feet of you... I prefer a more versatile weapon/load-out...
  12. Once you finally push the pins and drift the block, you'll realise that it's so easy you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner...
  13. It's nice to see this thread turn towards the more intelligent side of things...
  14. Or, you could just shoot them...
  15. I agree with Vampatella, that's about the time frame I remember. I was in junior high when Dad was selling AKs like crazy but he started moving them in pretty good numbers in '92 or '93, those were some great years for us...
  16. Clean like a normal AK, wipe down the internals when necessary, run a brush through the bore and gas tube. Also, clean the puck well. DO NOT lube the gas system!
  17. Sorry man, our TV crapped out this weekend so I've been busy replacing the giant projection screen with a giant flat screen and stand (for that much cash I could've had another S-12...) and then we had to go visit my folks for father's day. I'll take a couple of pics tomorrow...
  18. I'll ask my father, I KNOW that kalashnikov USA imported before then but I'm not sure of exactly how long, he's got a few in his log book...
  19. I see something like this being very successful. Providing it's affordable...
  20. Shoot until the threat is neutralized.
  21. Most work in the city or upstate, both of which are closer to NH than the west side of the state... Besides, if you think I'm actually serious...
  22. It's a nice weapon. Run 20 shells through it on video from the hip in 4 seconds or less and we'll talk...
  23. It has a little tit on it just like the original safety. With mine, the stop that is attached to the trigger guard stops it in the down position and the dust cover stops it in the up position (or the bolt when being used as a safety/bolt hold open).. I did a little filing to mine, both with the little groove that holds the bolt, and I trimmed the area behind the bolt at an angle so that I can rack the bolt straight back to chamber a round but still be "safe". I'll see about taking some pics tonight and getting them uploaded to better illustrate what I am talking about. Who knows,
