  1. the weakest link is the barrels(almost never chrome lined) and the builder.i dont mind bad mouthing them a bit.especially after i had bought two of them and both(one elk river reciever other nds-2)were assembled with over sized barrels and wrong twist causing the bullets(used wolf and russian 7N6) to tumble end over end immediatly out of the muzzle.to top it off my dealer contacted century about this and they replied that that is how the rifles and 5.45 is designed.....WHAT A BUNCH OF LIARS TRYING TO COVER UP THEIR MASSIVE DISEASE THEY HAVE SPREAD IN AMERICAN GUNOWNERS HOMES.from now on my rul
  2. i will have a new saiga 5.45 next week so i will get some shots in and post up.will probably be in meters instead of yards, but its all good.BTW not too bad of groupings.that is very "combat effective".
  3. i purchased it a little while back at a gun show,so this is not one from the MD Arms group buy.my time for needing to sell it just happened to be around the same time peoples back order started to fill(bad luck for me) and as for for the price...well assuming you can do math,if you calculate the fee of paypal and the cost of shipping its right on par with the MD Arms group buy (cant really loose too much on it).guess i could have said $100.00 and you pay shipping and paypal fees.also its not that i dont want it,its just that i need the money more...and i already have one fitted to my S-12 anyw
  4. i would imagine that what you have rigged to work will not harm the electronics at all as long as you have the correct voltage required running through it(and sounds like you have already addressed that).personaly i would find a random battery spring(maybe an old cheap flashlight?)and interlace it with the coil on the battery cap.this way it will be much less "getto" and more reliable than a ball of foil.there is my .02 hope it goes well.btw i really like thoes scopes much better than the ones now offered with the current PSL's.
  5. i too am interested in this.would be willing to send a little $ if you intend on trying this.
  6. PRICE DROP:didnt realize that some people were starting to get their MD-20's they had on backorder(shoulda sold it a few weeks ago i guess) as you can see in the pics it is new and unfitted.has the smoke cover and owners manual.price is now $119.00 and INCLUDES PAYPAL FEES AND SHIPPING(not hawaii or alaska).will not ship where prohibited.
  7. i agree! we have too many problems right here in the states.i say fuck everybody else(other nations)and address the issues here NOW!if hati has another earthquake...too bad.i know that seems very cold but in all reality we need to take care of our own first.of course its not just the border thing (although very serious)but tons of shit.it makes no sense to me that we spend trillions of dollars on other nations and their problems and more than likely never get any assistance back.
  8. Mine trigger stick/lock up when the springs did this. It would act like it was always in the "pulled" position. I'd check that, 30 second fix. thats exactly what i was thinking,a little bend to get to stay further to the side will do it.just whenever you bend it the way you want dont put it back togeather and test fire, instead leave the cover and bolt/carrier out and pull the trigger several times quickly and tilt the gun from side to side while doing so to make sure it doesnt slide back against the trigger.
  9. use a dremel or a utility knife with a steady hand to remove a little excess material from the grip where it rests against the trigger guard.
  10. well after dealing with two(one elk river, one NDS-2)absolute piece of shit century arms ak-74 i have decided to look twords the arsenal sgl 31-61 ak-74.anybody have one for sale or know a good source.i know they are pricy but i want an ak-74 thats built correctly.
  11. +1 i really wish it was one of those things that came standard.it will make a great gun even better.i took out the manual bho lever as i didnt like the way it felt when i rested my finger near the trigger, and so far as to the looks of this it will give a much better feel with function.
  12. if you think it could be the hammer then simply swap in the factory hammer and see how that works.just remember that if you do that your losing 1 us compliant part for 922r.i just really wish that there was a better built bargan us trigger group than the tapco g2.it truley is a lousy piece to have in SO MANY guns in america.kind of like century arms and 95% of the ak-74's they produce with incorrect barrel size and twist.it just makes me sick the way they contaminate the country with junk weapons that people may have to trust their life with some day.....uh...sorry for venting in your thread.
  13. this stopping a threat thing with minimal force using your issued/duty weapon is blowing my mind.my dad who has an FBI firearms instructor liscense and trained the the sherrifs deputys in his 20+ years of law enforcement was taught and instructed that if a situation calls for you to actually fire your weapon then you shoot to kill.you DO NOT use your firearm to wound.this case presents more chance of liability and things to go wrong.one example is im sure alot of you have seen the video of the suicidal guy with a handgun sitting in chair while police try to talk him down and the sniper takes a
  14. did mine this weekend and honestly(this might seem crude)i just used some flat black krylon spray paint where the metal was bare under the trigger plate right after i took it off.wrapped a towl around the mag well area and gave it a couple spurts.dried quickly and matched exactly to the rest of the gun.idk maybe i got lucky but it worked well and cheap for me.
  15. well problem solved.a little modifying/fabrication and its all good now.just my luck though, the one little bastard that was produced a little out of tollerance and slipped pass inspection ended up in my hands.oh well, runs like a champ now.also would like to thank carolina shooters supply for getting the product out to me in a good timely manner.only problem now is that factory 5rd is not keeping up the supply of my demand.
  16. well i got a conversion kit yesterday from css and after taking my time and getting the hammer where it got along with the bolt and carrier,i got it back togeather this morning and when i fired it i noticed that the hammer did not rest.it ejected and fed the next round just fine, but once again the hammer was not caught and followed the bolt.at this point i am extremely pissed.took off the top cover and cycled the bolt and everything seemed to be working correctly until i tried with the trigger held down.the son of a bi*** would not catch the hammer.so i put it back togeather and tried to relea
  17. i always said that my benelli M1 super90 combat was the shotgun to have and would not be replaced by any other........well....i think now it may be for sale.dont get me wrong the M1 is an excellent weapon, has several screw-in chokes,4 shot extension(holds 8),great ghost ring sights.the thing is,how in the hell can you even compare:bam.bam.bam.bam.bam.bam.bam.bam...thunk...clik....clik....clik....clik....clik....clik....clik....ready compared to:bambambambambambambambambambambambambambambambambambambambam..clik..ready
  18. hello all. i am brand spankin new to the site and thought i would share my early expierence.picked up a new s-12 two weeks ago.first thing i grabed some shells(cheap winchester universal)its what i had laying around to run through my pump hk fp6.while knowing it probably wouldnt cycle well in a gas operated system(they wont run my m1 super90 combat)its all i had at the time.brand new first shot...poor little black bird was in the wrong place at the right time.wow it cycled(setting 2)next shot...wow it cycled again.but from there on every shot FTE.of course this didnt actually break my heart as
