  1. Just to add, the mid barrel comp comes into it's own when shooting higher power ammo, where the felt recoil is drastically reduced. If you shoot mostly cheap low power stuff, it is not practical as the recoil in low power ammo is not a big deal anyway. But for what I mostly shoot (1500fps+ slugs), it works great.
  2. After the work I have done to it, it will fire (& eject) everything from the cheap bulk pack stuff to the 1650fps slugs that I mostly shoot,,,,,,at this point, about 3500 rounds after the conversion. I did read that the other day. IMO, the mid barrel comp is not their problem,,,,,holes in a barrel are not going to cause a gun to work at one time and not work at another, the problem would be caused by something that can vary from one time to another. If the guns where setup to shoot any power ammo with a mid barrel comp attached to begin with, something other then the comp is causing t
  3. Seeing that mine fires everything I load into it, I don't know how much more reliable it could be.
  4. Thanks for the help, I guess that will be my birthday gift to myself ,,,,,,, or maybe I'll splurge and get the Socom stock instead ;-)
  5. Yes, that is the stock I am looking at getting. I meant to say, I need a stock that uses the same thread dia as a Mil-spec buffer tube that I have now. This is what is confusing me, is there a thread dia difference between Mil-spec and Commercial as stated in this info I found, or are they actually the same dia. ? I Just want to be sure before ordering something that might not fit.
  6. The hammer is in the same position in both, just a different hammer for the conversion to work with the moved trigger,,,,,,,if this is what you are saying.
  7. I was thinking of getting one for my M&P15 and need it to fit the Mil-spec buffer tube, will the one sold at CSS work? What is the length (I need a long one)? and if it is too short for me, do you also sell a buffer tube extension that is an inch or two long? And one more question, if I use an extension, do I need to use a longer buffer spring to match the length (I would guess I do) ? As always, thanks for your help and providing a great store & service.
  8. I was considering ordering some 12 round drums from this site, but for some reason, the idea that anything over 10 rounds is not allowed in Hawaii. The law in this state limits everything but shotguns to 10 rounds, shotguns are not limited at all. I have a bunch of 12 and 20 round drums that have been sent to the island from other companies that are forum members here,,,,,,Any chance of changing your policy on shipping high cap shotgun mags to Hawaii?
  9. Thanks you, going to pick it up this morning.
  10. I decided to buy what I need to reload 12 gauge shells while I am in Las Vegas. There is nowhere to buy anything in my home town, so I am buying it here while I can and ship it back to the islands. I went to Bass Pro Shop (awesome store), and they have a MEC 6000 JR that is a "kit" that comes with press, 3 dies, scale, primer remover, and some other parts ( the box is vague as to what all comes with it). Is this a good press for someone that has never reloaded before? I know I need a good data book, which one is good for buck and slugs for Saiga 12's? That else should I get to have a complete
  11. I use a C-More STS with an R&R mount,,,mounted into the factory rear sight's dovetail. I have used this setup for about 1300 rounds and like it a lot,,,no plans on even trying anything else.
  12. I had FTE harmonic problems after installing UTG quid rail,,,removed the top rail of the quid setup and gun worked again.
  13. Thank's, but it looks like they don't have any for the S12.
  14. Trying to find a carrier to replace my damaged one. I know this is a hard part to come by but I thought I'd give it a try. If you have one that you can parts with, or if you have any idea where I might be able to locate one, it would be greatly appreciated. I have cash in hand. You can post here, PM or Email at pyroworksfab@gmail.com Thank you
  15. Here is a post on how I did mine,,,,,,,,, http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=58330&st=0&p=552678entry552678
  16. This is what I did, just be sure the factory threads where done correctly. I have read that some are slightly misaligned. Although this dosen't help the OP as his is unthreaded, maybe it will help others. For an unthreaded barrel, I'd invest in a thread alignment tool before taking the chance of screwing up the barrel. I think Greg at CSS has them.
  17. Do you have any photos of this, in the process of being done. Sorry but I am not following what you said, Do you mean the ramp extends 1/4" farther back or ramps up 1/4" taller so the ramp is at a steeper angle? Thanks
  18. Made one also, the design I copied works good for me, haven't tried any other type so I can't offer a comparison.
  19. Can you shoot slugs through that?
  20. Called AK47 again today about my back ordered SM Israeli Grip, It should be also shipping the end of next week.

  21. Ordered an ITC railrest today. Also called Cadiz and talked to Vicky about ETA of LRBHO kit, sounds like about the end of next week for shipping,,,,,,,maybe. She said Tom was checking out a different alloy of steel for a certain component of the kit. Can't wait,,,,,but it looks like I have too :-) .

  22. I just ordered this one: http://www.itcmarksmanship.com/c-14-itc-railrest.aspx
  23. I used the R&R Target's mount and made it work for my C-More sight, not sure if it will work for your setup, but here's the thread about it: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=58167
