  1. Yummy collection of revolvers there, GPD!
  2. You'd honestly be better off saving your money and buying the parts for the conversion. I have a feeling you'll waste $60 only to find that it performs no better. If that Tapco FCG got rid of that nasty linkage (which I have no idea how the hell it would do that) than maybe you'd be better off. But it's the extra linkage that's the problem. I may be wrong, so do be sure to let us now how it turns out.
  3. Texas is such a large state, why can't I find the damn car I'm looking for?? I actually have the cash, and I now I can't find what I want... Wtf?

You want something super specific that's moderately desirable in working condition, and requires a lot of maintenance, so when they're not in working condition they're often junked. Hope you can find one anyway. But those old Mercedes-Benz sedans do require a lot of pricey maintenance.

Pricey maintenance isn't much of an object. I've grown up with these cars all my life. I'd love to see an American made car from that era with 300K miles on it that isn't total junk. A junked Merc like that can be restored to working condition, and handle another 300K.

  4. Has been up all night looking for his future W123, stumbled across some other great benzes.

  5. I agree with chevy, the idea of a 55 round mag is just nonsense to me. Though there are some that like them, the most I'll do is 40. All my 40s are reliable and never fail to feed. However, I've always been iffy about anything more than 40 that wasn't a drum. Good luck!!
  6. I BEAT THAT SHIT LIKE IT OWES ME MONEY!!! Seriously though, I think at one point in time we all babied our AKs, ever so slightly. I won't lie, I even did it, haha. Until after finally just deciding to let it slam, then I realized this baby was meant to be gagged, chained up, and whipped!! Oops, did I just type that out?
  7. Where are the pics? And if there was a loophole around the 922r, why can't the rest of us take advantage of it
  8. Kev, you always take the words right out of my mouth. That thing looks like a lot of fun to shoot!!
  9. What a night it's been...

hope it worked out better for you man!

  10. Yes, I'd be curious to know more about this rifle myself. Pics please!
  11. Expanded his car search to the neighboring states of Texas. No luck so far... What is it with me and wanting rare things?!

With the standard diesel engine alone, it'll average 33-40 mpg depending on driving habits. With a $600 kit, I can run waste veggie oil, straight veggie oil, and diesel or bio-diesel all in one tank. I know plenty of places around town that would love to give me their waste oil for free.

I have a 1984 300TD with a 5-speed manual - it was never offered in the states with a 5-speed, just the 4-speed. Being an old Mercedes, it has issues, and it's been garaged for a little over a year because of a fuckup somewhere in the transmission linkage - stuck in first gear. Interior is tan, exterior is gold. Not quite what you're looking for...

I know, thanks though, Shandy. It's out there, I can feel it.

  12. Can not find 240D with a standard transmission to save my life... It must somehow be related to those parts I can't seem to find for my Taurus revolver...

I had one about 3 months ago, sold the entire car w/manual trans. for $350.

Tye, was is in terrible condition? Cause they usually fetch more than that.

And you would laugh, mullet :P

  13. I was hoping Colt would released 100 anni models, with the original style trigger, grip safety, and mainspring housing, as well as the other 1911 nuances, but oh well ETA: Just saw them on the website. The price is not right. For $400 I can call up a dealer and get an M1911 produced in 1914, which I'd be more happy with in the end.
  14. Put the search for revolver parts on hold. Now on the lookout for a new car.

  15. +1 Yet for a full sized 1911, I would recommend a shoulder rig. . . IMHO an IWB holster just isn't going to cut it most of the time for such a large handgun. If you don't already own one, you might consider obtaining a back-up handgun; something smaller. You know what they say, "A .380 in the pocket is better than a .45 out in your car's trunk." I always have a backup on me, Gary, but if I told ya where, I'd have to kill ya I eventually got one of those super slim Uncle Mike's holsters, and it fits my 1911 like a glove. I've got no problem hiding it just wearing a semi-tig
  16. Debating a 300D Turbo instead of an engine swap. Researching a auto to manual trans swap now...

      Mullet Man

Oh, i thought it might be a brand of turbo like Master Power or Borg Warner.

    2. Mullet Man

      Mullet Man

Or rather a model of a brand of turbo.

    3. VaiFanatic90

      VaiFanatic90

No. It's just a 3.0L 5-cylinder engine with a turbocharger in the 300D. The 240D has a non-turbo 2.4L 4-cylinder. Either of which will guarantee an average of 33-35 mpg. Up to 40 on the highway, even with straight veggie oil. I'd love to just cruise by gas stations knowing I don't have to stop there anymore.

Yeah, and the lady as well.

  18. Same here. When I'm in bed I've got my Taurus Tracker sleeping with me
  19. Cocked and locked all the way. Like others said, carry it around the house to get used to it. Shit, I have mine on me just for shits and giggles, even while playing the xbox
  20. Called around for parts again. No luck.

That really sucks dude, it's a really nice pistol imo. I don't understand why they'd discontinue it. Rubbish!

Who knows!! Who even knows why it's so damn hard to find parts!
