I was wondering what the ideal humidiy should be to prevent corrosion rust problems (they are oiled) for regular firearm/ammo storage. I'm making a room in my basement and moving it all down there. The weapons are in just in cheapy safes, ammo in ammo boxes. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Doug

I would say he did it cause that way you know it will work and won't have to grind it down and if using a BHO the sides, where the pin goes through, are the right length from the get go. My bolt kept wanting to hang on the hammer cause it wasn't ground right to match the factory. Finally said scrwew it and went with original. I did the same thing. Doug

The bolt with the Saw grip will work just fine......you need the nut to attach it to, after you make the hole for it.

Not part of your parts count but you'll also need a disconector sping......it doesn't come with the trigger group. And a selector stop. And a p-grip nut. Some nylon plugs, e-clips or some other means of your choice to keep your pins in. Doug

Does the new hammer match the old one in shape? You may have to grind more off of it. Or do like someone else here did and make a mag floor plate and use the original hammer.

No I think the conversion looks really good (now go start your .308). I just didn't notice that the first time around. I know what you mean about people and holidays.......it's just gonna get worse. I can't tell for sure (second pic in first post) but did you fill the 2 holes on each side where the original trigger pins were? Right above your p-grip. You may already have it done and if so disregard the post, but at least to me it looks like they are open. You can get nylon plug fillers that will pop in there and it will look just like a factory rivet.......or real close to it. Just get the dull ones not gloss. Most hardware stores should have them. The .308 is the easiest so I've heard. I convereted my .308 and other than drillin the shit it wasn't hard. On mine the p-grip nut hole was there.......I think it was where the trigger was actually. You don't have to drill out the 2 trigger pins. The hammer will need to be reshaped like the original.......or use the original but then your down a part if your counting. Idon't know about the plate but I put two e-clips on each pin. Cost about a buck or less. I think your SOL on the pre-order. Do you have a BHO and do you know the twisty tie trick? If that isn't in the tech
