  1. In anticipation of receiving this soon I was thinking about the arguement that a good regulated plug needs to put all the spent shells from various loads into the same area. One thing that was not mentioned ( at least I dont think so) is the fact that only loads with pressures high enough to open the vent will be cycling the gun with similar force. Any lighter load that does not generate enough pressure to open the valve will not cycle the gun as hard as the heavier stuff. Again I say the only true indicator of a good plug is one that will cycle anything you put into it and wont allow the b
  2. Nice write up and great pics. It also answered a question that nobody answered for me when I posted it here. The Fasfire II does co-witness with the Chaos sights. Im really glad I ordered it and its almost here. Now I just need my Chaos sights to get here

    ftf problem

    I think you nailed it
  4. My S12 in those black and white skulls would be awesome.
  5. The gun was awesome!! The rolling around on the ground flips was pretty stupid IMO.
  6. I found it interesting that they used the sporter style S12 to represent the Spetsnaz. I saw that episode when it aired, loved it.

    Bolt Lock

It would probably be easier to try and figure out which American gun manufacturers dont offer one or more of their handguns with finger grooves or thumb rests. How about you do that, name an American firearm company that does not offer any of their non "target" pistols in a configuration with finger grooves or thumb rests. Firearm manufactures here and around the world have almost always tried to take into account how the gun will fit the hand of its shooter. The only reason a firearm doesnt have those features are due to added cost or mass production ease.

    Bolt Lock

Gah, what a load of BS. Put the tinfoil hat away man ). PIstol manufactures put thumb rests and other finger indentations in their firearms to aid in repeatability of grip placement which aids in accuracy. If factory AKs dont have BHO's its because the AK was designed to be mass produced as cheaply as possible. The BHO is not only a good feature but a much desired one. If it didnt come with one most owners would pay extra to have one added, oh wait, they already do that. If you keep everything you own in "factory intended" condition then you live a very boring life. You sound more like

    Bolt Lock

Many ranges here in AZ require you to lock the bolt open during a cease fire. The BHO makes that an easy task and is very handy. Ive never seen anything that couldn't be improved on.
  10. Is that what he said? Damn, no sights for Memorial weekend for me. I was planning on driving down and spending some time with my dad at the range.
  11. I used a vise, punch and hammer. Then I gave up and cut it out )
  12. Thats awesome. Any idea on how many will be going out? Just the first 20 or will you get into the 50 pre-orders after that?
  13. It depends on how long until the next batch is made ) Im sure they are in the process though.
  14. He's looking for map pouches, not the same thread )
  15. Do any of the "halo" style red dots co-witness? I would rather not have a tube style sight on this gun. The Fastfire II maybe?
  16. A working plug for me is one that cycles whatever ammo I feed it and doesnt damage my gun, PERIOD, no other debate necessary. Recoil will not be effected by a regulator because this gun uses a locking bolt system. As far as shells landing in a tight formation there are to many variables going on to even allow same brand/spec ammo from landing in a tight circle. Just changing the weight or length of the extracting shell can change where it lands. If you want go watch the slow motion videos that were posted on this site and watch how just about every shell coming out of the gun takes a diffe
  17. Wouldnt the different length shells also effect how they ejected? When I go to the range and I shoot up to 100 rounds of El Cheapo when Im done the shell pile is a good 5 foot around. The range limits where you can stand so all shells are shot from pretty much the same spot.
  18. Looks like it was done on a lathe. Great job!
  19. What if you put a divider between the two rows in a double stack mag? Just have them merge at the top. If you do the divider right you could still use one mag spring and follower for both sides. It would eliminate stacking issues between the two sides.
  20. Same deal, he is going to send me the rails so I can see if I like my stock angle on my build before I weld it up. I know it will be worth the wait but its still not easy )
  21. I saw some guitar shaped gun cases recently. I thought that was an awesome idea ).
  22. Not necessarily, they are out of the first batch. Some of us (at least me) have to wait for the next one.
  23. Mine replaced boredom. I needed a new project and this one is hella fun.
  24. I dont think hitting the hulls is a problem. I do wonder about how that extra weight up high was causing the bolt jump upwards when it hit the rear of the gun. That cant be a good thing.
