Use a small gauge wire or small allen wrench to get the catch and spring lined up. There is so much slop in the holes that way you can almost do it without compressing the spring at all. Then just use the replacement pin to push the small gauge wire out through the holes. Its pretty easy that way. A little late but maybe it will help the next guy ).

Cameron's rail barely inserts into that void at the front of the receiver. Does that latch mechanism totally fill that area?

Yeah, the bolt not moving at all means your getting no gas? I dont think I can believe that. Even with the screw, spring and vavle removed from my plug the bolt still moves a bit. Ive said it before, the Auto Plug is the best upgrade Ive added to my gun but it WILL NOT work in an under gassed or an "on the edge" of being under gassed gun. If anything, with the Auto Plug I would start with a slightly over gassed gun and then back off the gas with the Auto Plug.

Try removing the spring, trigger and hammer. Manually cycle the bolt/carrier. If its the receiver you should be able to easily feel where its hanging up. I had a Draco that the rails werent exactly straight and i had to clean them up with a file. If it cycles smooth by hand then start putting parts back in until you find which one is hanging it up.

Also, when pulling back on the bolt handle you are pulling the carrier to that side.

You can also remove the nut/bolt from your Burris and flip it to the other side. I did that, it works fine.

The hand guard is just a Midwest Industries. I didnt like my sight so far forward so I removed the top rail and made those vented pieces for each side. I modded the rail so it would sit farther back on the gun. MI is working on a dedicated Draco rail and should have it out soon.

I was going to tap it for windage but changed my mind because the front sight is adjustable. Im still considering cutting more of the rail off and making a mount for the HK that encloses it in a bit and give it a more finished look.

The last "rib" on the rail is about twice as thick as the others. I cut it down so that it was the right thickness to fit in the HK slot. I cut off the other "ribs" that were in the way and then tapped it for a screw. You have to be very careful though as there isnt much meat on the underside of the rail. You dont want to go all the way through. Its very solid and not going to go anywhere. The front side is adjustable for windage and elevation so you dont need the lower base from the HK sight.

Thats what I plan on doing with mine. I have a CTR with a Stormwerkz folder ready to go. The gun runs great.

On my S12 I run a Fastfire II. It works with the Chaos HK style sight just fine. For the shotgun I like the open/full veiw sight plain of the Fastfire style sight. On my mini Draco Im running the Sparq. The Sparq is a great sight but field of view is nothing like the Fastfire. The Sparq will not cowitness with allot of rail/sight combinations but it does come with a 2X multiplier with is an extra cost with other sights. Plus they have a lifetime warranty. Cell phone pics.
