Might want to consider a rail that will accept covers all the way around. The Samson looks great but that bbl is going to get hot. Just something to think about.

When did you send out your Form 1? I'm going to get upset if you get yours back before I get mine I sent mine out with a Form 1 for SBR 107UR on Novemeber 4. Mine has already been engraved and needs nothing but the chop. I did a little something different with the ports on this one than I usually do. I may have to add one more, but plan to test it first.... you never know. I will get those instructionals up as soon as I get through some of these projects. Haven't done any paperwork yet, My state is still not on board but the same people who got the law changed on suppressors last year are

Check dates on what you read, I noticed it's kinda like this site in that regard. You will find something that is the best way to do something or the newest thing on the block and only to find out the dates on the posts are old and there is newer better info in another thread. Also traffic can be kinda slow so responses aren't always quick.

Nice. Yeah just shoot the gas block with hi temp engine paint, mines the same and is holding up fine.

Went out a few more times, each time 200 rounds, no problems at all. Last time I took it out I decided it was safe enough to let my 15 yr. old son go ahead and shoot it, still no problems at all. I even had to swap BCGs with my newly built beowulf so it could have a full auto carrier otherwise it would stove pipe so I swapped them and the pistol still runs 100% with the semi carrier. Wondering if anyone has put one on a draco and thought this might be another alternative to the ultimak rail. Any thoughts???

5.56's ballistics get worse, the shorter the barrel goes. I'd personally stick with the 10.5", out of your choices. If I were to build a 5.56 AR pistol, I'd actually go with an 11.5" barrel, but I completely understand why people want to keep a pistol as short as possible. My bbl is 6 1/2 but I'm not real concerned with ballistics.

If you havent checked out arf yet just go over and check out the AR pistol section, I found when I built mine that there really isn't that much difference, everything except the buffer tube went together the same. I just used the spring and buffer that came with the RRA tube, I bought another tube (can't remember the name right now) at first that was 1/4" shorter and so was the spring that came with it. Yarp is right, when I was building my AR pistol I put an AFG from my S12 on it to see what it was like and it places your hand way too far forward for that short of a bbl.
