  1. lol man, to each their own. i would still take offense to you comparing John Wayne to Van Damme....but I hear ya
  2. Jesus, KT. You sure know how to stir up a crowd... who calls the Duke "a talentless lard ass..."???
  3. I'm not usually a fan of remakes, but this one looks promising. Jeff Bridges is no John Wayne, but I think this is one I'll go see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo-RDJb4W28
  4. Darko, that sounds very similar to the force we've been fighting in A-stan for close to a decade now.....Not that were not kicking ass, but we certainly haven't wrapped it up so we can come home........ If you read more in to guerrilla war tactics you'd be surprised how many wars have ended because of the efforts of a small under armed force. Vietnam didn't go well for us even if you want to call it a win..... This is what I'm saying. There are some true bad ass good ol American boys that'd hold their own, but on the whole, american gun culture is pretty different than thos
  5. well, if S really does HTF, us midwest boys need to hook up. i'm gonna wear a S12 patch on my jacket just so yall can recognize me
  6. WHAT DID HE WHISPER IN HIS EAR AT THE END!?!
  7. That's pretty cool, although I would still put my money on the 2nd Largest Army over all the hunters.... no infrastructure, leadership, discipline, strategy or tactics, lack of heavy weapons, armor, Predators, tanks, bombs, missiles, satellites, etc... but at least it'd be a hell of a fight!
  8. that's pretty excellent! i wish you could give me one too!!!
  9. that video is a great resource. i say give it a shot. if you mess something up, this forum is here to help you fix it!
  10. i bet they are! I would love to see a pic on one anyway...
  11. Just read through this thread. You'll need to run a couple hundred rounds through it to break it in. If you're still having FTE's, send it to Cadiz for warranty repair work. They'll take care of it and you'll be able to run just about anything through it...
  12. LOL i swore i saw MAJOR. Well congrats on being voted Mayor. May your rule be long and just
  13. Well, as far as caliber wars go, that argument is as old as the internet itself and you will likely just end up more confused the more you read. As far as range goes, the limiting factor in these guns becomes the gun itself and not the round. For example a bolt action .308, you could do 600-800 yards, but with a sloppy Saiga action, you won't get anywhere close to 800 yards. Figure that any of the rifle caliber Saigas in the hands of a good shooter are effective for pizza-pie sized groups out to 300 yards or so, with a few outliers and people who have done 400 with all and 500 with the .3
  14. I'm pretty new to the world of rifles, and I've been trying to learn all I can, but it seems that most "which caliber saiga is for me" threads that come up in the search are full of a thousand different subjective opinions that are not helping me much. It'd be nice if I could find some sort of reference that had simple information about each caliber saiga rifle without all the subjective stuff. Does such thread or resource exist? For example. Caliber: (7.62x39/.223/.308/5.45 etc...) Range: (yds) Recoil: (light/medium/heavy) Game Type: (CXP1/2/3) Ammo Supply: (plentiful/average/ra
  15. News Flash! Springs wear out from repeated use, not from taking a set due to long term compression... You are wearing out your springs. While there may have been issues with old springs poorly manufactured / made of poor materials taking a compression set, it is pretty much a non-issue today. hmmm.... interesting. i guess that makes sense. I guess i always saw the long term compression as being the main threat. but I'm young and stupid so I guess I shouldn't do much thinking on my own anyway!
  16. i loved that show. i heard it won't be back until late next fall... ugh. supposedly the creator/director of the show fired all of his writers and is doing it himself now. he didn't like the direction they were taking the show. it'll be interesting to see where he takes it next season...
  17. that's pretty freaking awesome TD. I'll make sure to check out the museum if I'm out that way this Spring.
  18. the only thing that bothers me about keeping all my mags ready is that I don't like the constant load on the spring. I keep three or so ready at all times, and i switch them out about once a week. maybe an unnecessary precaution, but I don't want a wore out spring jamming my gun when i need it.
  19. they're all sexy. every one of them...
  20. it looks like its just a stock Saiga handguard that's been reshaped a little and drilled?
