  1. my magazine had a problem when i bought the rifle. i could put 8 rds in but mag would not "lock in" the rifle. it would "lock in" if i removed a rd.so i did the mod on the magazine to make it a 10 rd mag and now i can install it with 9 rds in it.
  2. how many rounds have you put through the weapon? i seem to remember reading in the shotgun section that you will need to run a couple boxes through to break it in.also, did you thoroughly clean and then re-oil the weapon before shooting?
  3. Appreciate that. Going to get some range time today. Probably going to order a Uinta 3 pack too. Not too sure about posting pics until I can dress her up a bit first. You probably mentioned it before, but what barrel length did you get? Mine's the 21+ so is less apt to need a brake than the 16, I would think. Of course I've been wrong before a time or two. i got the 22" version. still not converted it.waiting on the tapco handguard to shoot at the range.
  4. i would use an adhesion promoted before i spray anything on the parts and make sure to wipe them clean before doing so.
  5. that was not my ?????? what you had scratched out is NOWHERE in this thread hence the ?????
  6. i agree with da bomb on the css being the place to go for your parts needs but disagree with his/her stock choice. ar stuff has no place on an ak variant. i use the tapco t6 butstock and pistol grip and am waiting for the tapco handguard.i think it looks good but it is just my opinion. you need to decide what you like and not worry what others think. you will be shooting it not them. he is what the tapco t6 stock looks like on my 308.
  7. tired of all this cold weather. i want to shoot.

  8. thanks and grats on the new arrival. post some pics in the pic thread when you get a chance.
  9. i agree with you and have seen the same thing at gun shows and then see the same people go buy military bolt actions that have(guess what?) wood furniture. go figure. and those rifles were most likely used in battles. a little hipacritical(spelling?)
  10. i bought the uinta mag in 20 rd and no probs
  11. mine is unoriginal. my name is byron.my x-box live name is Big Bird 20 though(goes back to halo2)
  12. i agree with cobra as well. i love sog and the other show top shot is kinda like a gun version of survivor which i have not watched since season 3 i think.i have seen a few episodes of top shot but do not particularly care for it.i did reallt enjoy the last episode where will surpressed an AK and did it successfully.way to go will. keep the shows coming.
  13. I wish someone would teach them officers how to properly display and store firearms... i agree. those poor rifles are getting all scratched and dinged up. the police better return them and pay for the damages in actual value as i am sure some a highly collectable.
  14. i would go to that church. i hope there is a range downstairs for after the sermon.....
  15. that is a good question. my only thought is that many people still do not know about these awesome weapons. i didn't know until a few weeks ago and soon as i did i bought my 308 and have spent some coin to make her "purty"
  16. i believe allthe 308 rifles have it.
  17. i checked css and their basic conversion kit (no stock or grip) is $74 which is what i would need since i have a unconverted but still modified 308. the kit you would need depending the choice of stock and grip you want would run anywhere from $121-$148. that is the cost for just the parts. i have no idea how much a "smith" would charge to do the conversion for you. i hope this is of some help to you. my unconverted 308 looks like this.
  18. It looks like opinion is somewhat evenly and strongly divided. I recommend a nice buttstock pad just to be on the safe and less expensive side. my tapco t6 stock has a rubber buttpad. should be better than the factory hard plastic one. i still want less felt recoil.
  19. any further updates on how well this part works? seems to me there has been plenty of time for people to evaluate it further. i might be interested in it if it really does cut felt recoil and improve accuracy at all price be damned. i am getting older and the arthritis is not very forgiving to shooting.
  20. i am using a side mount with a bsa 8-32x50 variable.eyes too bad for red dot.
  21. maybe these guys might know. but you have to actually watch the video. http://www.youtube.c...ayer_detailpage
  22. i agree. i have one on my 308 and love it.looks greats too in my opinion.
