I never heard of a Saiga 12 until I got done shoveling snow for 16 hours this January. Company I shovel snow for is a landscape company and he has small gun shop upstairs. I have bought brass before loaded once and had to junk it. Are you use a full sizer die or a neck sizer die. case if you shooting .223 out of just one gun I would looking into a neck sizer die it will make your brass last longer.

That case has been reloaded so many times it just got weak and broke. I have had that happen to me a couple times already. When you reload if you look at the case close enough you can see a line starting to form so when i see that line i junk the case cheaper to buy new brass.

Its not a shorty. 19" barrel just has barrel shroud on it (yes the thing that goes up) Shot 99 rounds threw it. If the skittles picture bothers you I can change it . lol

Just a thought next time don't run the Fiocchi ammo. I reload my ammo and just taking a guess the Fiocchi ammo may be a slow burning powder so when you fire a round some of the unburned powder is plugging your ports. I used winchester WSF powder once it left my Mossberg 500 barrel filthy after 1 shot cause it was a slow burning powder. Now I use IMR 700-x and my gas plug stays on setting #1 for high or low brass and no FTE.

I reload dent cases. just blow the dent back out when you shoot it. But In my opinion if you don't feel safe reloading dent cases don't do it.

I must be a lucky Saiga 12 owner from day 1 (01/10/2011) bone stock it has been on setting #1 for low brass and have put over 2000 rounds threw it of 00 buck, #8 shot, slugs and only 3 stove pipes. But I also reload to.
