Ive run probably 150 rds of winchester 00 buck, a whole mess of misc max dram steel #4, it plus another 200-300 bulk birdshot. Runs great with high/max dram. Its way to easy to run into walmart and pick up shit tickets and couple 100 rounds at the same time. The only sporting good store within 100 mi of me is Dicks and all they seem to have is Winchester AA or hunting loads @ $7-9 per box.

Probably been said before but I figure ill post it anyway. Went to the range today to test out the MD Arms booster puck and Gunfixers gas plug combo. Before today this gun would FTE about 50% of the time on factory gas setting 2 using walmart value pack (Federal and winchester). For the 1st 5 shots (Federal Bulk) I used a factory 5 rd mag to dial in the gas plug starting on the +1 setting. 1 rd FTE, moved to gas setting 2 and emptied the mag. The next mag I loaded with winchester universal and ran the 1st 2 shots fine with a FTE on the 3rd, moved the gas setting to 3 and emptied the mag. Now

Sorry to hijack the thread OP. Be sure to "annihilate" the inhibitor paper. Method of annihlation is up to you. I opted to blast mine with winchester universal #8 birdshot...out of the box...no mods...with a wraithmaker drum

This is the exact kind of stock setup Im looking for. What color (Colour....wankers) set is this? They have "Dark Brown" listed on the site for the Saiga 12 laminated furniture set but the furniture set above it has some ugly green shit which is "Dark Brown" as well. Glad I didnt waste the $5 for parking and stayed home today. Im not impressed with the Tampa gun show at all. There is one guy there that sells pistol pretty cheap. Im pretty sure Shoot Straight sets market value for guns around here and they are super high.

Has anyone put a patternmaster choke on their saiga? Did you use some kind of coupling or did you have the barrel threaded internally to fit? I emailed them to see if they have one in the works but didnt hear anything back. I have an unconverted gun Im thinkin about using as a backup bird gun. Hows that for "sporting"? Steve

Id say its more of an ergonomics issue rather than recoil with the AK style stock. She shoots my Benelli SBEII and 870s all day with no problems. IMHO the AK stock just doesnt work well for a pistol gripped Saiga. Maybe its a personal preference but I cant stand them (on S-12s).
