  1. Congratulations and welcome. Plenty of info here from alot of knowledgable guys. Happy reading.
  2. if its a 19" gun, your most likely going to have problems, unless theyre 2 giant holes. if its a 24" gun, its normal. Thanks yooper. It's a 19". Here's a couple of pics though. I posted these before . . . . it looks like it might run, if not you can drill it to either a 3 port or 4 port. just make sure you drill the ports at the right angle, or get massive fouling. Thanks. They do appear big with the mirrors help, however, I've tried using a paper clip to stick in the holes but they don't seem to want to go in. Maybe I'm using the wrong angle. There is
  3. I've had my '09 (2) gas port Saiga 12-for a couple of month's now and I wonder if another '11 (3) port) will make a difference. I was thinking about adding an AR-15, etc. though at some point. I still haven't shot my current one yet to even know if there's an issue. Got the "V-plug" and "performance puck" in it though. Also, just got back from the Eastman Gun Show here where I did my Saiga-12 walk-around investigation (ha). At one booth there was one '11 (2) porter (from Alliance Armament in Fla.), another booth five '09 3 porters (all these were from Legion). And he also had a $1500. cu
  4. Just curious as to the build dates and how many gas ports (maybe they vary unless they're in the same lot) since this has been a pretty big issue???
  5. I went with the Breacher. Like the way it looks.
  6. Both of the ones i have had, have had a loose, wobbly fit but function was/is perfect. For comparison sake, my MD20 only needed a slight amount fitting per directions on fitment "B" . Thanks for the reply. Good to hear, I guess. There does seem to be quite a "night and day" difference between MD Arms and Promags.
  7. I have a MD -20 drum which was so tight out the box, that I had to shave off a little from the very front sides and also had to perform the A and B rear fitment as well. The fit now is very good. Very tight and no wobble whatsoever. However, the Promag 12 rnd drum that I just got (and hadn't fitted yet), is very loose and wobbles from side to side. It even seats all the way down but doesn't click and lock. I guess a little shaving off of the rear is needed but I question it, as again, it seems to be all the way down. My concern though is how loose it is with so much "side to side" wobble.
  8. I was wondering what happened.
  9. Very good. Remarkable how much you really do know or at least can figure out on your own. Don't know if I'll tackle mine myself though when needed for the extra port(s) issue.
