  1. Horseshit. I love how Reagan is shackled with the Hughes Ammendment. He didn't take away your right to own machine guns, a overwhelmly Democratic congress did. Look up the vote in both chambers, His veto would have been overturned in a heartbeat. Still he should have vetoed on principle. Reagan was the antithesis of the "brand of what gets elected". How old are you? He is the example of what should be elected every election cycle. This country would be much better off with more Reagans and less Clinton's and Obama's.
  2. It is your choice to smoke or not. I really don't care one way or the other, it is your life, but I can say unequivocally, it makes you stupid and slow. I can pick out a recreational pot smoker with a simple 10 minute conversation just from their speech even if they haven't smoked the day in question. I can't say the same for a sober alcoholic. Marijuana does something to the brain long term that alcohol does not. It is not the same as alcohol in recreational use. In addictive use, there is no difference between a drug addict and an alcoholic. Multiple personal experiences have convinced me of

  4. Basement on an 8" concrete slab. It ain't going anywhere. This is what I have in the house....not everything I have.
  5. Worked on getting my stash organized this weekend. My local source for like new 40mm cans for $18/ea has now dried up. I bought the last four on Saturday. I have run out of cans and still have around 6 cases of various stuff to transfer. Ordered a couple more 40mms and also trying (3) fat .50s at the recommendation of this thread. Currently holding (11) 40mm cans, (1) .50, (6) .30s. If my calculations are correct, it should hold an additional (10) 40mm, (8) fat .50s, (14) .30s, and still have room for boxes of spare mags. Definitely not ideal for bug out, but it will have to do until I
  6. What's sad is that it will take a social uprising where the unarmed are slaughtered to get international intervention. It is just a matter of when a large group decides their lives are worthless and they prefer to die on their feet than starve in their shanties. What is even worse is the media has completely ignored this travesty so as not to show the weakness of socialism during an election year full of socialists. I hope that people in this country are paying very close attention to this. This IS America's future if we continue down the road we are on. Did you ever think a self identify
  7. When I break a case of ammo to load into cans, I sit next to a tape dispenser and tape each box flap.. Costs way less than $10 to tape the boxes, takes maybe five minutes but I am pretty quick at taping boxes. I've done the same but I am getting lazy and stubborn in my old age
  8. I started breaking down the GT I had in the 120mm can. It was 17 layers of 15 boxes and one final layer of 10 for a total rnd count of 5100. Total weight was 221.8 pounds: To answer HB's question and for comparison sake a 40mm can will hold 2080 rds in 4 layers of 26 boxes. There is a little unused space left with each layer so the packing is not as efficient as Darth's .50 cal can. Total weight was 91.2 pounds: ETA....I'd pay an extra penny a round if they would tape up their boxes. Grab on the wrong way and you are picking 20 rds on the floor.
  9. Weren't several celebrities and folks on the left pointing to Venezuela as the shining example of how socialism works just a couple of years ago? Where are all those idiots today? Somebody needs to ask them about it.
  10. I used to just stack up the cardboard boxes as well and throw them in the corner of my closet. In the climate controlled house I really didn't worry about it. Eventually I had more ammo boxes than clothes and kept having to find new places. The ammo cans and worksite storage box idea came about because I wanted to move the storage to the basement / garage where there is a lot more moisture. The cans are airtight and the worksite box just allows me to lock it all up and helps me know exactly what I have on hand and what I need to buy more of......which coming into a November Presidential electi
  11. I am in the process of doing this exact same. 40mm cans for storage, 30 cal for the range. I have a couple of 120 mm cans as well. Fill one of those up with GT and you need a forklift to move it. (40mm is about as big as I would want to go) Interestly enough the 40mm cans don't hold a whole lot more than the fat .50s. I think I get 1780 rds of GT per 40mm can. I might look into the fat .50s. Thanks for posting DS. My set up is below. (Still in the process of filling cans and doing away with cardboard boxes. Top shelf for easy range loading access, and lockable.
  12. I understand where you are coming from, but if his firearm had killed a white dude, it would be worthless due lack of media attention. Zimmerman has shown a repeated lack of sound judgement after the fact, which makes me question the soundness of his judgement the evening in question. The dude is definitely a douche and attention whore. That said Trayvon's lifestyle also showed a complete lack of sound judgement and was bound to get him dead sooner or later. Fortunately for him and the narrative is was sooner than later by a Latino guy the media could brand as white. If it had not happened th
  13. The only conditions, according to Johnson's lawyers, are that willow trees be planted around the pond and a partial fence installed to "control livestock." The article goes on to say that this was a common sense victory for he and his family. What the *^%# business does the EPA have dictating what has to be planted around the mans pond or what "safety" measures are required for his cattle? I want to know the name of the individuals in the EPA that filed this. They should be dragged out in the street and tarred and feathered.
  14. I ended up using Safari as the browser and everything went smoothly after that. Up to that point, both Explorer and Chrome would not function with the website. Still in the course of a couple of hours it appeared that 130 new e forms were submitted on 4-28. I found that suprising.
  15. You always have the best fish stories....and pics to prove they aren't just stories! Glad you and Nathaniel had an outstanding day my friend.
  16. While I agree with you on principle...we need to redefine what a felonious crime is, people need to accept the responsibility of their actions. What your intellectual argument does not take into account is YOT has first hand experience with the worst of the worst in the prison system. If he has no tolerance for people whining about how being branded a felon affects their opportunities for rehabilitation, then you know what...I can respect that. He has earned that in my book. I could not do what he does and look at the human race in the same way.
  17. That is a very good point and great information. I submitted three e forms form 1 on 4-28-16. I hope everything is good, otherwise I will be in the exact situation you describe.
  18. Just curious why you did not E-Form the Form 1 if you filed with a trust as opposed to going the paper route?
  19. As an owner of both I can say without hesitation................Keep em both Seiously though I would probably keep the 308. With the VEPR 12 out and relatively cheap, the saigas just aren't as attractive as they used to be. JMHO
  20. That which begins to exist must have a cause. God is eternal. He is not bound by time or space. Both are His creation, and both have a beginning and will one day have an end. Scientists believe that the entire universe (that is all matter as we know it) began 12-14 billion years ago, and came to be in the Big Bang. It had a definable beginning. Scientists, particularly Steven Hawkins, are busily trying to find new theories to explain away this beginning, Try as they may they cannot get past this crucial point. This will be my last post on this thread. Honestly I hope it may bring some of yo
  21. HB,You discount that some of us believe that in 100,000 years we will be with our Creator in a place where time and space no longer exists because both are creations. Time and space both began at the time of the Big Bang. That can be factually proven because scientists can trace the universe back to a beginning. Something that begins to exist has to have a cause. What caused everything to explode into existence? Don't take the evangelism personally, but I believe I am answering your questions as I believe to be true. If I say in 100,000 years I am going to be with Jesus Christ, why does that n
  22. It is nice to have multiple options. My opinion is take the job you enjoy doing. I second Dogman, all the compensation in the world cannot make up for a job you hate and the misery that comes along with it. Good luck with whatever you decide.
