  1. Krylon Fusion is made for plastic...maybe that. Scuff the existing paint as best as you can and try it, worst case scenario, you end up bead blasting them in the end, as was suggested. I did see a guy who had dipped his in Plasti-dip (the stuff you use on hand tools)...looked pretty cool and was very durable, but taking them apart would be a problem, for the Salem 6 mags.
  2. Painted plastic is very difficult to get paint off. Your best bet is to just paint over the existing color.
  3. Oh..Oh. Now look what you have done...you created a new toy for all of us. I'm in.
  4. Your mag lips may have been expanded out a little bit. Try inserting a shell and look to see the clearance on the sides of the shell, if there is ample room, you may try to slightly bend in the lips on both sides carefully and try inserting the mag then. The clearances on the Firebird lowers are much tighter than the factory lowers.
  5. I just looked on both websites that carry them...out of stock. I like the Tromix brake, I wonder if he has ever thought of a clamp on style ?
  6. Unfortunately, the Tromix brakes are non existant.
  7. Gose...Who makes the top one, is it for a shotgun ?
  8. I'm not over sensitive...but don't push too hard...you may not like the result. Go back to lurking, seems you are good at that. I don't feel the need to post every time I have a thought, like some do. I do a lot of lurking, observing, and felt the need to let Jim know that he may be losing customers by not responding to inquiries, and also by his own employees' big mouths. Sorry if what I said is nasty - or are you over sensitive?
  9. Kinda of nasty for someone with just 4 posts. I am all for telling the facts, but maybe another path would be more constructive.
  10. How much was shipping ?
  11. I have never been let down by the quality of Firebird products or customer service...carry on.
  12. I like the inscription when it's folded "DO NOT FIRE"...Too funny. Does it lock when folded over ? Looks like good access to the bolt for the stock.
  13. These shotguns fire pretty quick as they are, now I will say in my opinion the trigger could be way better compared to the Saiga, but I know people are working on that so we will see. I have a club member that shot 9 steel targets, set up like a qualifier stage, in 3.46 seconds last night and then later shot 3 steel targets in 1.18 seconds, he is a nationally ranked A shooter, but hey...that's still fast.
  14. I thought there was a thread showing this ?
  15. Nice job !! It didn't take you long to get it put together...since you only got it yesterday...LOL
  16. I understand about the 10 round limit thing...but they should have gone for more (12+) like they did with the Saiga mags...Just sayin'. Good price though, if they ever come in.
  17. That will work !!! I smell "NEW PRODUCT" Custom colors?
  18. I have to admit...I missed that one...LOL You are correct.
  19. Probably not...you load one in the chamber, then have 10 in the mag....shoot ten, change mags and have 10+1 at the end.
  20. It's "stupid easy" just 2 pieces and a hex screw, attaches right over the existing button....2 minutes at most....buy it !
  21. I personally use Frog Lube, I really like it so far. I never ran mine "wet" as some did and never had a problem before I started using FL.
  22. If you read here, you will find that the "break In" is real and will allow you to shoot WM Bulk ammo after you are done. Give it a try, you will be pleased with this platform after that.
