Hi Everyone, Got a call from my local FFL that does all of my transfers and he told me that someone brought in a Romanian SKS with all matching numbers that has a date of 1958 on it. He said its in great condition. I plan on going over to check it out tomorrow but was hoping some of the more experienced SKS guys on here could help me regarding what to look for and a fair price. Thanks in advance!

I was planning on refinishing it and having it as a shooter unless there is something special about it. The stock is pretty beat up but usable.

I recently purchased a Chinese SKS from Classic Firearms and the stock has seen better days. I went out and got everything I need to refinish the stock but now I'm getting cold feet thinking that I may mess up something of collectible value. I believe that it is a Tula manufactured rifle but as this is my first SKS I'm not positive. Also, on the stock there is a triangle with the number 21 in it. Anyone have any ideas what I have here?

This is what I'm looking to get into once my C&R arrives, would be my recommendation over a Yugo. Just a ugly looking functional shooter, all I need from an SKS. I was thinking about these as well. I could always just refinish the stock right?
