A point I have made since the inception of "Obamacare". Anyone that thinks the government can run health care should take a good look at the VA. As an old, not blind, but in tri-focals, geezer, they are a tool for me. Difficult balancing between 3 lenses for rear, front sights and target. Once properly zeroed, they have most assuredly helped my shooting. If I could have em functional on long guns, I would. Tool or toy, depends on your needs/use.

True, but reloading components would remedy that little detail.

For several weeks, I have been contacting them asking for a brass cased version of the 5.45x39, suitable for reloading. They keep indicating they will forward my request on to the New Products R&D section. Reloading components would be most welcome, allowing experimenting and finding a "signature" round for specific rifles.
