  1. The original Russian versions look great. Alot like the really nice Saiga conversions. But...... What will the imported versions look like? Very much like the "sporting purpose" S12s. I'm all for variety, but this isn't revolutionary. Merely evolutionary. I hope they are smart enough to either design them so that S12 mags work, or so that it's very easy to modify them for S12 mags. It will be a steep hill for them to climb to sell against the S12 with the variety of mags already on the market unless you can use them too.
  2. I did find out many years back what it felt like to find out his front end wasn't stable at 130. Full-blown tank slapper. My buddy behind me said "I thought you were dead!" So did I. I never took that bike over 100 again.
  3. I do ride 2 wheels, but not crotch rockets any more. I survived my own stupidity long enough. Yep the Isle of Man, not the Isle of Wannabe. Cause those are MEN. There are probably still body parts wedged in some of the walls.
  4. Unless I can launch a bowling ball I'm not interested.
  5. I've been thinking of re-enacting the wake-up scene from The Matrix. I think 55 gallons would be just the right amount.
  6. No, it's directed at Gary. I have no idea who you are. Look at my post. I don't think he was being serious Bob. I'm pretty sure he doesn't really think it was him you were talking about. The parts about "my little pony" and "interpretive dance" kind of gave that away.
  7. Agree. Cut it, and while your at it, open up the gas port a few thousandths. Problem solved. Since I'm sending to tenngalil anyway I'll let him determine if it needs opened up. Assuming the receiver isnt butter soft crap. If it is unsafe I'm going full asshole on century. I hear they have sometimes given replacements if a gunsmith certifies it unsafe. I paid $750. I'm not just selling it for parts without a fight.
  8. Pretty much sums it up. Although Im not letting anybody shoot me with anemic 556 bullets.

  10. That one is so easy I'm not even going to bother. Just think of Fight Club as a roach trap. If you can lure the roaches in there they can eat each other and not spread their disease here.
  11. I never said "you dont need that". I said most people will never need to do what its designed to do. As far as what guns are designed to do... They are designed to fire bullets or pellets and that is exactly what I use them for. I never buy a gun to look at. Edited to fix spelling because I can't type on my tiny phone keyboard. Hey, you may be the most practical S12 owner ever for all I know. This question isn't about you though, is it? The vast majority of S12 owners buy the gun because it looks badass. Are you disputing that assumption? And by all means, tell me
  12. Damn those Croatians... That new XDs 45 single-stack wants to come home with me... But I already have a Kahr P45 so the polymer single-stack 45 role is filled...
  13. Well due to the potential of a soft receiver I'm sending the rifle to tenngalil to have him check it over. If the receiver isn't dangerously soft I'll have him tune it up and yes boys and girls, cut the barrel. lol But please feel free to continue voting. I know that insipid score can go higher...

  15. If you dont have a job that involves door breaching then its mall ninja. If you do I leave it to you to decide what to use. My personal preferred method is setting fire to the building and shooting them as they run out. Next can we do a poll about 37mm flare launcher attachments?
  16. Give me an e-tool for close combat. When Im done killing I can dig a shitter.
  17. Bayonets are a great idea on muskets. Not so necessary on a firearm with detachable magazines. If I wanted to fight with a spear I'd use a spear.
  18. First of all I made it clear that I don't plan to make my decision based on others opinions. I'm simply curious. Second, I sincerely apologize for my whining. I merely wished to point out the logical fallacy in your reply. We all modify our guns in some way. At least half of the actual gun-related posts on firearm forums are about modifications. Some of our most respected members make their livings performing modifications for other people. Oops, there I go whining again... Third, I don't give a fuck what answer I get. See First above. Fourth, I am fully aware that this is a
  19. Using that logic nobody should ever modify any firearm... Yes its a golani. If it was a real Galil I wouldnt think of hacking it.
  20. I don't know why you'd want this "imitation Glock"??? Kidding of course. Note user name. I became a fan of the Croatian Sensation very early. I have a Gen 1 HS2000 (XD9 before Springfield got the import rights). I got it from CDNN back in 2000 for $249. It's been through thousands of rounds (Wolf and WWB mostly) with little cleaning and no failures except defective ammunition. And of course I was one of the first to snap up the XD45 (Tactical) when that became available. It swallows all ammo and shoots more accurately than a mass-produced pistol should. I can ring the 300yd
  21. Being the kind of guy that just can't leave well enough alone, I'm considering chopping the barrel of my Golani from 19" down to 16". Keeping in mind that this poll is more out of curiosity than a desire for help in making the decision, what do you's guys think? Long barrel = higher velocity - never a bad thing with the .22 bullet - but less handy. Short barrel = lower velocity but more handy. I'd also appreciate feedback from people with experience shortening barrels about cycling. This rifle cycles 100% with 5.56mm loads but won't reliably cycle some 223 loads. Would I need
