Quick and dirty photochop of what the rifle would look like if I cut the barrel to 16".
  2. I have thought about getting a mag adapter but tbh I enjoy the "AKness" of the rock-n-lock. It's unfortunate that the Israelis got stuck with the NATO standard anti-poodle round. The Galil would have been awesome in 7.62x39.
  3. If you're killing deer at 100yds with a 410 I tip my hat to you. I'd still be interested in some test results on the 12ga. From what I've read the biggest complaint about paradox tubes is that most are too short to spin the slug. Better results were achieved with longer tubes. If you think about the way sabot slugs are made it is likely the plastic sabot will spin around the outside of the slug without imparting spin to the slug. Obviously the longer the tube the more likely it is to transfer the spin from the sabot to the slug itself. The Saiga tube being the longest I've seen
  4. I agree completely. I Installed a buffer on a CETME and it caused a bunch of problems. My trunion cracked, top cover warped and I saw extensive barrel throat erosion, even before I fired it. My pistol grip melted after 2 rounds, it caused my scope to lose zero and the batteries died in my rangefinder. When hiding it would call out to the opposition "He's over here". But that was just the start. That buffer put jello in my fish tank and bounced my checking account. It sent threat letters to the IRS, It made more buffers and put them in all my other guns, It donated money to al qaeda, th
  5. That's the point of select-fire, it doesn't have to be one or the other. Of the choices in this poll, only the "AK-47" gives you that option. Since we are all aware that there is such a thing as select-fire (not sure why we're using italics...), we are certainly all aware that one of the options that can be selected is full auto. My point is that even if it's available, full auto isn't necessary, or even desirable in the majority of shtf scenarios. The presence or absence of select fire makes no difference to my statement. If you're in a shtf situation where one bullet per trigge

Stock still folds flat and the cheekrest doesnt block the ejection port.

The rifle is completely stock except the cheekrest. The flashhider is AR birdcage style.

Its an ATI SKS cheekrest. Dont remember where I got it. I had to do some mods to make it fit the Golani.
  10. Centerfire's website says they have 10 C93s in stock.
  11. I've had this Golani for around 3 years and I love the rifle. As long as I feed it full-power 5.56 it runs like a machine. It doesn't like limp-wristed 223 loads. Since I first shot it, I've always wanted a decent cheek rest for the excellent folding stock. But I don't like any of the available options. I got an ATI SKS cheek rest some time ago thinking it might fit but it didn't work. The width was right but it sat too high and the mounting screw was in the wrong place. I tossed it in a box and didn't think about it again, until we moved recently and I found it again. With a sec
  12. Congrats! The day I sold my SAR2 was one of the saddest days of my life...
  13. I cringe every time I see a "tactical" M1A. It's just a personal thing that I hate the way they look.
  14. I have M4gery, AK (semi), FAL, and S12 available with ammo for all so the actual situation would influence which I would grab. All have been fired extensively and proven reliable. A note on semi vs full... There are damn few shtf scenarios where full auto is better than semi. I will stick to semi.
  15. Trade me the Russian for my Yugo and you can chop away with no regrets. I promise to take really good care of the Russian.
  16. I see nhresident took the time to stop by and give me 1 star. I feel so special now. lmao!

  17. My carry gun used to be a Kahr P9. I upgraded to a P45 when that came out. I find the slim profile and light weight of the Kahrs perfect for carry, and they shoot easy. Even the 45. It weighs about the same as my titanium 45 Taurus revolver but the Taurus is not fun to shoot.
