  1. I apologize for any confusion,it is the M11-L model for fixed sight guns.
  2. That Hogue grip is really nice.I am pretty sure it fits anything that mounts to an AK.
  3. It is the standard ACE with an ACE pig nose adapter attached so you can install an AR receiver extension. I like it!The trigger is ridiculous.
  4. I bought this gun from Tony in the beginning of 2007 and it has eleventy billion rounds through it.I recently sent it back to Tony for a refreshing and some updates(just got it back 2 days ago).I have to admit that when it comes to firearms and accessory's I am not much of a koolaid drinker for many brands but am loyal to a few. That said, you are getting what you pay for when you buy a Tromix conversion.Tony's stuff is just flat out top notch and his customer service is INSANE. I am sure this all goes without saying to many of us who have been on here for a while. However,I have have noticed
  5. BTT I will also do trades for mags(prefer only AGP) or an MD20. This thing is brand new, never mounted $80 shipped.
  6. I will be buying one of these. To build on what Mike said,I have had the Kross hellion rail and currently have the Kross midlength rail that he did a limited run of on my Tromix S17 and I think that the extra rail space provided by taking the rail all the way out to where the threads start on the barrel is a necessity because without that extra real estate it is hard to use the side rail for mounting a light due to it being so short. Either way, that looks awesome and I want to be near the front of the line to get one but I hope that it is longer than the standard Hellion that Kross mad
  7. I have an Ultimak top rail for the Saiga 12 that is NIB that I would like to trade for Krebs Combat sights or $85 shipped. Contact me at rogermrice@comcast.net
  8. I am not a real big fan of removing material unless it is needed. In a case like yours I usually put the mag in and out of the gun a bunch of times and let it "wear" in and it usually solves the problem.I have had a few surefire mags that would fit but were tight and this worked for them.
  9. I have an Aimpoint Micro sitting in the safe begging you to do this.
  10. I have the Gun Fixr on all of my guns and it is hard to turn when dirty just like the factory plug.I do find it easier to deal with since I can slide the back side of the blade on my pocket knife across two of the slots on the plug and adjust the gas without having to deal with the detent like the factory plug.
  11. I have never had my hands on one so I am not speaking as an authority on this. However,I know by looking at it that converting it can be done with parts I already own.The biggest issue are the mags. You are telling me that you can take US made mags(surefires) and modify them to work in this gun just like the factory Russian mags;operate the BHO mech and drop free? I am not buying one so It doesn't matter but it is worthless without mags that function like the Russian ones.Even if you could modify US mags to run in the gun but they didn't actuate the BHO when empty that would negate one of th
  12. Correct me if I am wrong but there is much more to this gun than just the rail under the gas block. If I am not mistaken,it has a real functioning LRBHO ,which is something that many of us have been waiting to see for a long time, along with a magwell and drop free mags.I can see why all of this is desirable.I just can't bring myself to want one for a few reasons, the most important being that I am not a collector and like to shoot my stuff. The next being that the limited amount that are claimed to be imported means that those who do own them will be stuck with little aftermarket support and a b
  13. I'm in for one and it's $1499. I wish I would have seen your post before I wasted the guys time emailing him.For that price,no thanks.
  14. It isn't exactly traditional but I always thought that those wire ACE stocks looked like they belonged on an AK.If by "traditional" you mean non-AR15 stock the ACE is worth a look since it will bolt right onto the Tromix back plate.
  15. I have three s12's and a close friend also has three. All of my mags(surefires.AGPs seem to be much more consistent) fit all of the guns differently. Some are tight/loose front to back while others are tight/loose side to side. That said,They all fit and function(unmodified)but they may be a hassle to get in one gun while it will fit alomost perfectly into the next. Last time I bought MD drums I bought 3 brand new. They all fit differently in the same gun.One fit perfectly, another almost fit but was really tight and another needs to be fitted because it doesn't fit at all. There is nothing

    Titan Rail

+100. I wish the was a way I could cut one of these down to fit my S17.
  17. No offense but that is all nonsense.I have a few saigas all of which are pretty decked out including a Tromix S17.I am proficient with them and run several thousand rounds a year through them including using them for multigun.Want to know what I use for home protection?A Remington 870 with a wilson tube extension, bead sight and a 210 lumen Surefire LED forend. The fact of that matter is that the load out between the two guns isn't the difference between 3 and 20 it is more like 7 rounds for the pump and 8-10 for the Saiga(anything larger than that is too big and unwieldy to be clearing a house

    BHO

Another option worth mentioning is the Tromix fire control group since it already has the axle on the ejection side of the hammer milled off to accommodate for the BHO plate.
  19. I am putting an optic on this particular gun and have decided to get rid of the irons. This dust cover comes off of a S12 that was done by Tromix and has a HK rear sight mounted to it.I want to trade even for a factory S12 dust cover. Rogermrice@comcast.net is the best way to contact me
  20. Wow, that's $500k in sales in less than a week. I assume since their BHO works off the follower, and not the ammo, you have to manuall release the bolt after you insert another mag? The email I got from them says that removing the mag releases the bolt.IMO,that is completely useless. The advantage of having LRBHO in one of these guns is for easy mag changes on an open bolt. Why would I want the bolt locked open only to close when I remove the mag? It would be better to be able to remove the mag on an open bolt, insert new mag on an open bolt then release the bolt yourself.
  21. It's called ergonomics. Some people like to be able to adjust the LOP.
  22. Agreed.Don't go looking to fix problems that don't exist.I have the Gun Fix'r plug on all of my guns and it is worth the money.(I am sure the MD Arms one is goof too). I think you just need to decide how you want to configure the gun ergonomically but leave the gun mechanically stock as possible.I have had great luck with the Tromix fire control group,Gun Fix'r and the JT trigger springs.I have thousands and thousands of rounds through my DIY gun with no issues with just those parts. I have changed the ergonomics by milling the tang and adding an internal receiver block, magpul CTR,the

    Uh Oh...

Agreed. Just like how someone said Red Jacket's new show could bring unwanted attention to the platform and make the ATF think they're "evil" and just ban them. The ATF is well aware of S12's and what they are. Not some TV show, nor anonymous posts on the internet is going to make a government agency suddenly think "Holy fuck! We allow these things on the street?? We must ban them now!". No doubt that internet media is eyeballed by certain government agencies for other reasons, but I don't see how anything like these threads on a gun forum are going to effect what they do, or don't, b
