I fail to understand the need of some people to vilify, denigrate & insult their own race, creed, religion, or ethnicity in a misguided attempt at pandering to another! What kind of intense self-hatred could inspire this type of sycophantic behavior? This pandering goes as far as aping the stereotypical behavior of the favored group, where such pantomime would be seen as insulting by someone less desperately servile

One can certainly mock one's own race/creed/religion/ethnicity without behaving in a servile manner. Jewish comics have been doing it for at least decades.

Amen to that...it's a big mystery, but to flaunt your own race is often called racism as well...I have to learn about their diversity but at the same time am supressed from celebrating my heritage....
