  1. I've got one, traded it from a friend who probably put 10k rounds through it, I've probably around 5k rounds through it. No parts have been replaced and it still goes bang every single time, it is very accurate and I expect to get many years of enjoyment out of it.
  2. I have five .. so far: Hungarian M44 Russian/Soviet Ex-Dragoon Soviet M91/30 (Tula) Soviet M91/30 Izhevsk Finnish M28/76 Target Match Rifle I'll probably pick-up one of those PU sniper models and a few more Finn ones.
  3. I used a bolt cutter to nibble away at the edge, then used the jaws of the bolt cutter to grab some of the sheet metal and rolled it up like a sardine can.
  4. Okay dude, time to get the f* out of Maryland, come down to VA, remember our motto: Virginia is for Gun Lovers! While you're down here, I'll help you convert your Saiga Seriously though, if you want to and want help converting it, whether or not you move here, I'd give you a hand; you'll just have to figure out what the MD laws are and do your conversion around that. Edit... Off topic, but if you get a chance read MD House Bill 52: http://mlis.state.md.us/2010rs/billfile/hb0052.htm
  5. Cool, just be very careful that you keep your LLC and FFL03 matters separate, you seem like a good guy, I'd rather not see some post saying "going to club fed" from you I run a sole proprietorship, which has absolutely nothing to do with firearms matters, once you start crossing that line the ATF may get very interested in your business. Be sure to keep your C&R Bound book up to date and be safe! Honestly, having a 03 license probably isn't going to help build a business reputation. When a dealer/distributor sees that you have a 03 license they see a customer who may be looking for

  7. I've got one, it expires next February, my collection has grown considerably. Brownells & Midway USA offer discounts for all FFL holders, not sure of others, maybe Sportsmans Guide, but I don't do business with them any more. Brownells will actually give you a considerable discount on many items. C&R holders are NOT to do business with their license, period. Businesses/organizations can hold C&R licenses (if I recall correctly), in special cases, such as museums and um .. other museums. If the ATF finds out you're doing business, they'll get out the ass-raping-stick and
  8. Is the another, because there are always whiners? I've got one of your drums have pre-ordered two more, great products, definitely worth the wait, be that wait a month or six. Whiners don't need drums, they need tampons!
  9. Have you tried Loctite? Use the blue kind for a semi-permanent bond or the red kind for a permanent bond. It isn't truly permanent, just a real pain in the arse to remove, to remove the red, you'll need to heat the area with propane and unscrew it very shortly there after. The blue kind can be removed with just a lot of turning force.
  10. A lot of the Norinco weapons did not have a bayonet lug, due to the AWB, so that's a bonus. If your ammo is steel core, it is worth a lot, due to an import ban on armor piercing rounds, 7.62x39 steel core are considered armor piercing. I think you did pretty well! Just try to find one for around $200 on gunbroker, heh.. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.aspx?Keywords=norinco+sks
  11. The Mosin Nagant is a basic bolt action rifle, where as the K31 is a beautifully designed straight pull rifle. The Swiss really knew how to make a beautiful and function firearm. The Mosin is definitely cheaper to shoot... 7.62x54R - 18-cents per round 7.5x55 - 63-cents per round Honestly, I'd buy another hex receiver Mosin Nagant any day, you can probably pick one up for around $200 these days, maybe less if you shop around or have a C&R license.
  12. I've got 5 Mosin Nagants, my favorite is my Finnish M28/76 Target Match, accurate as hell, no scope, just special Diopter sights; unfortunately, they cost twice as much as the sniper ones. I have to agree with Indy, the K31 is a great gun to shoot, I prefer mine much more than the MN rifles.
  13. He said that he has had it for over two years... maybe I'll pull the Tapco out of my S12 and experiment with it.
  14. A buddy of mine has a Century Arms WASR-10, the main problem is accidental bump fire. This is caused, because the trigger releases the hammer, when pulled half-way; then the operator sometimes will release the trigger, which causes it to essentially skip the disconnector, the recoil jostles the firearm, sometimes pulling the trigger halfway back causing it to fire again. Ugh. I'm not 100% sure what kind of FCG is currently in the firearm, I was thinking about adding an overtravel stop, like in the factory Saiga FCG. Though I was wondering if just switching the mess they have with a Tapc
  15. Maybe do this.. http://www.surplusrifle.com/shooting/mosinfrontsight/index.asp

  17. Honestly Shandlanos, it sounds kind of like a mess (no offense), I keep all of mine in original condition, think I'm up to five now. I'd probably spend too much restoring it back to factory condition. If you've got any other C&R guns, lmk.
  18. BTT Will consider trades, I like Mosin Nagant rifles.
  19. Possum Stew One possum, skinned, pieced Couple of onions, potatos, carrots, etc (chopped or sliced) 1 can of mushroom soup 2 cans of beef gravy can of water Tbsp each of pepper, garlic salt Boil the possum meat in a large pot of water with a half cup of salt for about half a day. Pour the water out and add all the stuff to it. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered 4 to 8 hrs.
  20. Great video! The audio is very clear, no shaky camera, very concise. Thanks for sharing .. I rated you 5-stars on the first and second part.
  21. This page has some good pics of how the original Mosin Nagant mount attaches, I don't think you're going to have much luck attaching a standard AK-style mount, without significant modification. I have an extra one, like thehopping1 posted above, if you want to trade or whatever, PM me.
