With my stock (Saiga skeleton) you can. The cheek piece snaps down for using the irons, or up for the scope. No tools needed. Very cool! I have been looking for such a mount and cheek piece for my Saiga. Where did you get the mount + cheek piece? How about this mount from midway? Try to spend $400 ~ $600 for a bolt action sniper rifle, say: Savage 10FP or 12FV in .308 w/ factory heavy free floating barrel, accrigger trigger ... no semi-auto can get even close to that in the price range. then when you are shooting it, learn to if or which semi-auto is needed for your shooting ... leave sks for plinking. lol
