I would go with a competent gunsmith who know's AK's, and has the right equipment. Good Luck

Nice pics it will not take you long to get addicted if not already, nothing wrong with notched safety lever and BHO. Lots of add-ons coming out. Welcome aboard.

Why isn't he replacing the gas block, or at least compensating you for it? Money for a replacement shouldn't be coming out of your wallet, for his screw up, IMO. Your right, however he is a friend of a friend, the price was right, the other two rifles came out fine. It's a family business and AK's is not his speciality and I did not want to ruffle feathers over this.

Sounds pretty good to me, just got back from my gun shop today and the S-12's were $699.00 plus tax if IIRC, limit one gun per customer.

Got three x39s back from my gunsmith today, he removed front sight base and gas blocks, screwed up one gas block bad. I know K-Var is sold out but not sure which one will match up will pin holes anyway. Does anybody have one they want to get rid of please let me know or if you know a link to get one. All help will be appreciated. Thanks AllJacks

I would think the Ak platform for SHTF, can anybody remember the parts count of the AK vs AR? The point being the more parts the more can go wrong and more parts you would have to keep on hand. This is the reason i went with the AK as my work horse for SHTF sititution. I do have the Ar-15 I will keep.

I believe 1st run customers get in line second for the plug after the second run drums have all shipped. Don't quote me but I think thats what I read. I'm in same boat! But you can buy one.
-
I have not had one but have not heard any negs, price is right. I don't think it has the hole for the cleaning kit, but if your usining the saw grip it may not matter to you. I went with the K-VAR because of the but plate trap door.

Need help with old 7.62 x 39 corosive ammo
WILLIEVEE replied to WILLIEVEE's topic in Reloading and Ammunition
Thanks, Did some checking and you seem to be right on the nail with the primer, Berdan I believe. Now any infor replacing the Berdan with Boxer anybody done this? I may be spitting in the wind, don't know. Thank you, AllJacks -
Looks like I will be getting into reloading 12ga and 7.62 x39. I purchased a bulk of corrosive ammo recently and have a few questions some of you with experience might be so kind to give some advice to a total reloading novice. Can I take care of this problem by reloading with new powder, (I don't want the mess of scrub down every time I shoot it). Secondly what about the old primers and how much do they add to the corrosion and can they be easily replaced or will I need to? Seller said 98 out of a 100 go bang. Thank You AllJacks

Thats the one. Thank you very much. -
I saw a new folding stock recently that looked a lot like the ace, but had the regular ak setup with the tang (screwed in-no block) but can't seem to find it now. Any help would be great. Thanks
