I don't understand, was it in 83 when the other NFA laws on barrel length put in? I thought even if you had something that the laws made you register you had to before a certain amount of time. It would seam to me if it is not registered that they missed the bus. At the least I would think it would be AOW. why would it not be a NFA weapon even if there is only two. I would bet if I bought it and any law enforcement saw it at the range or any were I would be in jail with out papers. You can make your own gun you do not even have to put a serial # on it but they do recommend you put your name b-date or date built + b-date or some form of. A one a year limit I have not heard. Not correct. A factory S12 is a shotgun... even if you remove the stock. Therefore, you can't make an AOW out of the firearm. A shotgun with a vertical foregrip is just a shotgun with a vertical foregrip.
