ndomres 0
Would it also be possible to modify the rear trunion to accept a plastic rear stock? Something like an epoxy false g3 buffer tube with a threaded anchor to accept the rear stock bolt?
Red Jacket 329
Would it also be possible to modify the rear trunion to accept a plastic rear stock? Something like an epoxy false g3 buffer tube with a threaded anchor to accept the rear stock bolt? just about anythings "possible" . You run into the ol "juice versus squeeze" issue when it's a commercial product though . Aside from the price of the G3's stock , I think you'ld be adding about 4-6 hour's labor into it . I think it's more the mod for a home builder , or for a custom job , then for a production rifle . btw , I did mock one up to check it out when I started on this project , no change in cheek weld or hold , so I just said "fuckit" and went with the K-Var unit for 40 bucks . Bvamp 604
the mp5 was released from conventional service recently wasnt it? (and why we are seeing parts and the guns now, right?) I like that hand guard. It almost looks correct on the AKM. would enjoy seeing it on an s12, actually.

layer 0
I like that hand guard. It almost looks correct on the AKM. Me too, I think it looks hella-cool. I wonder how much modification is required to use it on an S 308?
Atlantic Firearms.com 170
Here is a picture of the MP 12 Saiga Shotgun recently built for us by Red Jacket , these look sweet and have a good feel & balance .
wally 2
the rear site on the dust cover looks cool but works like shit, might want to go with a normal AK site
Atlantic Firearms.com 170
Actually the sights work quite well , that is why Builders like Tromix , Red Jacket etc use them and why so many customers request them on a regular basis. If they are not properly installed I am sure they could be a bit crappy but otherwise they kick ass.
netpackrat 566
What is the point of an accessory rail that is not parallel to the bore? You put a light, laser, whatever on there, and there will be no way to align it to point of impact.
BobAsh 582
Vertical grip maybe? Semi-vertical, anyway.
layer 0
Someone makes a rail for MP5 forearms that angles down and gives a level mounting platform.
MD_Willington 11
So can you throw a G3 or FAL forend on a Saiga?
Red Jacket 329
So can you throw a G3 or FAL forend on a Saiga? Juice to squeeze ratio's to tilted . I think BRG3 makes some "looks like" furniture that bolt-on to the Saiga .
Red Jacket 329
What is the point of an accessory rail that is not parallel to the bore? You put a light, laser, whatever on there, and there will be no way to align it to point of impact. On the shotgun , it came in pretty handy securing the forearm to the gun . Beyond that , tit's on a boy . There's a couple grips out there that set at adjustable angle's , so I guess you could put one of them on there .
MD_Willington 11
Thanks Will... The MP5 forend looks pretty slick!
