Paladin 37
(to the tune of the old Dr. Pepper ad music) I'm a prepper, she's a prepper, don't you want to be a prepper too! I wonder what percentage of people here have lots of guns and ammo stashed, but no water?
Fatboy148 4
Holy Shit, and doing a search for that guys food site, might be the greatest thing since sliced bread... CANNED BACON! http://www.internet-grocer.net/store/cart....tail&p=1406 Or you could try this guy: http://www.mredepot.com/servlet/the-364/Yo...ed-Bacon/Detail He is the one that did all the research and got canned bacon back onto the marketplace. He ships instantly and does specials every so often if you subscribe to his website or check his ebay store (just last week or the week before, he did the free shipping offer on the Bacon which can be + - $20.00 depending how far from the left coast you are located). If you order through mredepot, use the discount code "fluwikie" at checkout for an additional 21% off total price (was set up for those preparing for pandemic flu, group discount). MultiSlacking 102
I guess you can chalk me up to one of those "regular people preparing for the worst". That's why I bought a Saiga 12. And an MD-20 drum. And renewed my NRA membership that had been expired for years. I think people are beginning to realize that for too long they have let others decide what is best for them, and worse, have come to rely on others to protect/provide for them to an extent greater than what they can live with comfortably. At any rate, my first post--great site and love all the helpful information here.

Ruffian72 548
Simple way to have fresh water on hand. Water line comes into my basement, runs into 1,000 gal storage tank, then runs into rest of house. Have valve for if water is shut off that capacity is available. Just make sure in and out lines are at bottom so water is circulated and fresh. Inpound should have a check valve so when pressure is lost the tank doesn't empty back out supply line. If you do business with him, you will not be disapointed, he runs a class operation! If you order from MRE Depot, you might want to order small quantities, and check them thoroughly. There've been a lot of people getting dented/damaged cans in pristine boxes (indicating the cans were placed in the boxes already dented). Also reports of cans near the expiration date, and canned beef containing beef by-products. People using discount codes/group buys seem to be the hardest hit. Not everyone (or even the majority) but enough to cause concern. So far, Steve at MRE Depot has not made good on the bad cans or products. Here's a thread about it with pictures (requires registration): http://www.warrifles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64387
