lbsrdi 1,078
Does anyone out there have any feedback on wolf .308 ammo with regards to the Saiga .308? I want to stock up and I found a good price on this metal cased Wolf ammo. I would expect that my Saiga would work well with any ammo, I just want your opinions. Also wondering if a cetme would have problems with Wolf. Thanks for any feedback.
csspecs 1,987
That is all mine has been fed... Seems to like it just fine. Wolf, Barnaul, silver bear, brown bear, golden bear, golden tiger..... Its all about the same, a little dirtier then US commercial, non-reloadable.

XXasdf 29
I shot 60 rounds of Wolf .308s out of the Saiga with no problems with the exception of two misfires, Although I have no experience with it in a CETME. You get what you pay for with wolf, not the best ammo but its certainly cheap and easy to find. Also there was quite a bit of fouling after shooting Wolf .308s, not a problem if you like cleaning but it would probly be wise to clean after shooting this particular brand. Darth AkSarBen 20
I found cheap ammo at Dunhams, and passed. I like the idea of using good ammunition and reloadable. I don't trust all that eastern bloc ammo or the Chinese either. There are some places I have found that recommend you do not shoot this stuff if you like your rifle. I like my rifle. chuwii2 1
I use Wolf with no problames at all and a few guys I know shoot it exclusively out of their Saiga's with no problems. It's cheap and my scope is zeroed with it so why not.
Rhodes1968 1,638
I have never run across anything it wouldn't eat. Like a teenager it eats anything.
gtnichols 51
I have noticed the wolf burns dirty, and sometimes flashes, for the cheap ammo,..I prefer the brown bear or silver bear if I have a choice, I have never run across anything it wouldn't eat. Like a teenager it eats anything.
Toby Allen 0
I second the brown bear ammo, mine loves the stuff.
SenatorCongressman 0
Mine eats Wolf and all different kinds of Bear. I buy cases at a time, and my Saiga has probably seen upwards of 2500 rounds through it. Since they are steel, I tend to worry about rifling loss and deteriorating accuracy, but so far everything is shits and giggles.
