pfmedic 8
I cant remember the last time... or if I have ever started a topic myself before.... but this was crazy. In hindsight I should have snapped a photo for you guys and I should have looked at the ports... oh well: I walked into the local gunshow that was going on this weekend in my city. I made my way to the right of the front door of the pavilion about twenty feet and saw a Factory s12 with 19 " threader barrel.... for $900. I just about choked on my breakfast burrito. When I found my composure I continued on my adventure... and there were no other Saigas of any caliber to be found... but I did see this: -Paul.

Maybe I should sell mine at the next show and buy two more. Maybe I will get $1200 because it's restored
Azrial 1,091
There are a lot of vendors that are way over invested in stock and hope like hell that a fat fish will come along and bite on their high prices. Others are just unrealistically greedy. Either way, prices are coming back down.
sicktooth 8
HAHA...thats what these guys get for being greedy...
diamondback 56
Up here in the NorthWet, thoughg, that 900 is a little closer to "market price"--for some reason, we get massive price inflation on everything even down to Bryco/Jiminez(sp?)/Raven and Lorcin POS'es. Do they think the I-90 passes and the bridges over the Columbia are gonna disappear at midnight or something? Looking at one for $625, if I can arrange to meet the seller for an FTF sale, and the only other one I've been able to find listed online here in Soviet Socialist Republik of Seattlegrad is $1250. TX-Zen 287
Speaking of unbelievable, I saw an IZ109 for $435 at the George R Brown gunshow about a month ago. Most of the tables had them for $570ish with a few nut jobs over $700. Z

vinnivanhood 17
Local show here was pretty small but had a few, lowest I saw was the guy I bought mine from at $625 which was 100 less then any of the other local shops. But I saw a plain jane restoration for $1200, I cant believe it was priced that high!

Most of the tables had them for $570ish with a few nut jobs over $700. Z WOW! I MISS the G. R. Brown gun shows! I had a chance to buy a Thompson .45 in a velvet lined case that had some police dept./sheriff dept. brass badge on the front. The price was kinda high at the time (1987 or so) so I thought I'd better check it out with the wife first, It was beautiful, broken down in a red velvet lined case with 2 sticks and a 50 rd drum, and she gave me the OK. I went back to get it and it was gone. G. R. Brown and the Astrohall had everything you could ever imagine or want. It took 3 days to walk through it all. Imagine my dissapointment when I first moved back to NE and went to my first gun show! LOL! 3 Minutes and I was done. Asking where all the "good stuff" was. You guys don't know how good you have it. Better buy it all up now before it is too late.

If you ever come down to the Vancouver area they are cheaper here. I got mine at Brightwater Ventures for about $550.
Nailbomb 10,221
prices in CNY are up for saigas. I bought my S-12 a year ago for $550, and you can't find them for less than $599 now. all saigas seem to be up in price here... could just be the economy though... Thanks for the headsup, and your sales-tax is probably lower too--just that I tend to prefer "private sale" rather than from a shop. (Call me paranoid if you must...) DSM Loki 0
At a local show here a few weeks back the going price for a NIB s-12 was 950. I saw a half assed resto'd one for 1300. Didn't fill the holes, or at the very least, finish the bare metal...
454496 71
I thought it said $925 on the price tag? Someone was trying to sell a box of 270s for $20 when people can but them for $18 at the Academy Sports store in El Paso. The mark-up at that gun show was unbelievable. I even tried to get my $5 back.
D-H 20
I was at a gun show yesterday, only saw about 3 - 4 S12's. None were converted, but were priced around $600. They were all placed on the racks on the tables like the people selling them had no idea what they were. Interestingly enough, one guy who wasn't selling any S12's had a 30-rd. and 20-rd. Wraithmaker on his table. Of course there were no price tags attached.
kwesi 39
I saw two stock S12's at the Suncoast Gun Show two weeks ago asking $640. My range has one at $839. FTF's around $550-$600.
Stansplace 414
You can get them around here for 550. But talking about choking, I saw one that was half ass restored at a local gunshop for $1895.00. WTF?

GRB is still massive, most of the stuff is however cheap nylon holsters and chinese gun parts. Hah, sorry to hear your Thompson story...one of those missed opportunities in life I guess...Good story.
