kalashnikovian 0
What is this thing? http://test.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=153442536 It says a Saiga 308 with a 1919 barrel, I've never seen anything like it. Crazy? Edited January 13, 2010 by kalashnikovian
Nailbomb 10,221
that buttstock looks like it would allow the gun to be used as a oar effectivly. I like the barrel idea though...
Raoul_Duke 113
I saw that a day or two ago. I just thought, WTF? Is there something I'm missing? IMO, it looks like crap and a half. I'll give him $200 shipped.
Mullet Man 2,114
it can function as a paddle for those canoe/rafting trips, its all about consolidation!
ThirtyAughtSix 101
I really hope its an optical illusion but it looks like the muzzle is touching the concrete, wonder if it comes with a free re-crowning...
Alexc.s. 25
Any one see the rear sight? "hint hint"
Twinsen 86
A barrel of that size has some serious accuracy potential. The missing handguard wouldn't make it too fun to shoot though. The crown isn't touching the concrete, the outer edge of the barrel is. That barrel is HUGE. And isn't that just a US made RPK stock? elvis christ 451
That guy is on theakforum, he builds some crazy stuff. I saw that rifle a while back, thought it was pretty impressive. I'd pay maybe $600, if I had some extra money.
Henn 0
^ Yep, Turbothis (Matt Yeamans) built that. He's the guy who does a lot of rewelds on Milled Yugo AK's. Like elvis christ said he also does some very unique projects. Good guy.
kalashnikovian 0
Yeah, that's pretty interesting. I can't decide if I like it or not, I like the concept of it though.
JulianH 4
Looks like a RPD buttstock: It is an interesting project, though. If I had some money, I'd try building a Saiga sniper with something like a SR25 barrel. I think a 1919 barrel is kind of an odd choice, though... saigafreake 27
i like it i think with some work it would be a nice lookin rifle and if turbothis built it it will work fine.
