FiReBReTHa 11
I figured I should commit a whole thread to the conversion of my recently aquired Saiga12 Here she is blank to start. Saiga 12 19" barrel went to the range yesterday, looks like I spilt some fatguy on myself. I am going to try redoing this shot later when its brighter outside to increase the speed of the camera because it was grabbing shots at different points and I want to increase the speed/consistency. The magazine grab was for indicator to start the sequence of shots.

FiReBReTHa 11
Stock, Before conversion
FiReBReTHa 11
Push Down on the hammer and then pull the trigger to release the hammer. Here you can see the top of the rivet caps that need to be drilled out with the 3/16 bit. Once thats done you can tap out the axis pins. And remove all the old hardware Now you have access to the bottom rivets that need to be drilled out That will then allow you to remove the old trigger guard. Once that's off I started working on removing the tang so I could install the stock conversion piece and folding mechanism. I used my dremel and cutting bit to remove the tang and then used a grinding bit to make it flush. Remember that you are not griding it to be "square" but rather flush with the sides because its angled a bit. Since I have my dremel out I went ahead to modify the bolt hold open lever

The_Caged_Bird 474
I want to see your lights setup for these pictures Let's see, I'm going to see how close I can get. I'm going to say that the pics in the shop are 4" 4-bulb T8 fluorescent fixtures with light diffusing lenses. As for the studio pics, well, professional studio-type flood lights. How close am I? How close am I? 3 mag lights and a bag I cut open that came with free cheetos. I used the shiny side as a bounce reflector after licking the crush material that was stuck to the sides from transportation. The crush material was cheesy and stuck to my fingers Jk, 4, 2-t8 no diffuser lights + sb900 as a bounce flash d700 w a 24-70mm Edited December 22, 2011 by FiReBReTHa
