Buford T Justice 17
I have never seen one in a gun store. I have been looking for an AK-47 and figured why not a Saiga. I wanted to trade in my SKS on a WASR today but they wanted to bend me over on the trade in so I didn't do it. Edited December 24, 2011 by Buford T Justice
StealStick 17
Atlantic has them. http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct708.aspx

Buford T Justice 17
Thanks but I found one. Arms of America has them on sale for $319.99 in stock so I didn't waste any time placing my order. I sure am glad I didn't spend the nearly $500 area dealers were asking for WASR AK's. I can't wait to get it. Now I have to sell a couple things.
Buford T Justice 17
How does the paper work take place I never did an on line gun purchase? I guess I have to go to a gun dealer and get the paper work done and have it faxed to Arms of America. Is that how it goes?

I guess I have to go to a gun dealer and get the paper work done and have it faxed to Arms of America. Is that how it goes? Bought mine at Classic Arms for $299 unconverted. Nice rifle with 14x1 LH threads under the FSB shroud. You should have had to have the dealer where you shipped to fax a copy of their FFL to Arms of America. They will ship the rifle to your local dealer, you fill out the paperwork, pay the transfer fee, and take the firearm home.
DrThunder88 912
If you can't find a local store that does transfers for a reasonable fee, GunBroker has a database of FFL holders that you could try.
leadchucker 12
Centerfire Systems and Classic Arms both have them for $299 + shipping. Local FFL charged me $20 for the transaction.
Buford T Justice 17
I am not aware of all these gun sites I am saving them so I can compare next time. I contacted Arms of America for a price match but if they don't $20 is not that big a deal. Thanks for all the info. I off to contact the dealer to handle my paperwork. tatonic 159
Try your local pawn shop for ffl. Mine charged $10. and though they looked at it, thought it was an sks. Hillbillies, Edited December 24, 2011 by tatonic

bigkane 2
I bought mine from Atlantic Firearms. Got a good deal and they shipped it fast. I found a local FFL dealer that was already registered with Atlantic, so it made ordering a breeze. On their site you can search by state for FFL's http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/themes/atlanticfirearms/ffls/list.aspx If you find one local, you can just pick them when you place your order. But as I said, call them ahead and see if they will do the transfer. The rest is cake.

Buford T Justice 17
I got my Saiga today. I cleaned it then took it out in the rain for a test run. Fired 20 rounds with no problem. When the weather is nicer I will have to see about its accuracy. I do have a question about ammo. I have a few boxes of 7.62 Metak with M67 marked on the box. I don't remember when or where I bought it. Is this 7.62x39 and is it good for the saiga?

If so, just make sure you clean it after use.

Revolver Ocelot 3
But if its corrosive throw some water down the barrel and gas block before regular cleaning.

tchick 52
Just got a converted one from Classic Arms this week. I'm very happy with the quality of the conversion. I almost bought a WASR for more $ before I checked out the Saigas. I'm glad I waited. http://www.classicarms.us/Saiga.htm
