dolomite_supafly 56
I am wondering what is the most reliable 5 round magazine that is not the factory magazine. I have several 10 round ProMags and they work fine but wondering how their 5 rounders are. I recently put together a Kushnapup and like the shorter mags better. Nemo61066 10
I bought 5 of the Keep Shooting 5 roundes ( http://www.keepshooting.com/saiga-12-gauge-5rd-magazine.html ) and have put hundreds of shells through them without a problem. And at $13 it's a steal!
dolomite_supafly 56
Thanks, I just placed an order. I really wish I would have bought the factory 5 rounders when they were under $5 each last year. Dolomite

I know the keepshooting mags used to go on sale for $7-8.
fbird 2
I picked up some of the keepshooting 5 rounders for $5 a piece last year. Still haven't gotten the chance to try them out.

gunfun 3,931
Black friday is usually when people get the KOS mags. I only got one, but it has always worked flawlessly, unlike the 5 or so izzy 5s I have owned.
DeadDesperado 22
I've got five of the KS five rounders. I beat the shit out of them testing them out when they were on sale for $8 a piece, haven't failed me yet and they'll take a slam to the ground.
RED333 1,025
Hey Dolomite, I have a few KS mags, they work great and I did not have to "fit" mine.

coltaine 5
any word on a possible 8 rounder from keepshooting?
gunfun 3,931
I doubt it. They've been making the 5 rounders for years. If they intended to do an 8, they could have years ago. I think part of the issue is that they are made in Taiwan. As such they count against you for 922r.

I can't remember the info anymore. But I seen then went with ProMag for high capacity now.
Deadeye 325
people on ebay try and pass off the ks mags for factory a lot
Shankspony 40
I love my KS 5 rounders. They just happen to work every time all the time!
Goldeneagle76 24
Not ks but 44mag.com does have factory 5 rd mags for $29.99 in stock.
dolomite_supafly 56
I grabbed some SGM 10 rounders as well.
gunfun 3,931
addendum. I have come to the conclusion that I prefer the one piece mags to the mags with steel lips. I have had fumbles with both OEM and KOS mags because the lower corner of the steel feed lip can snag on the receiver while slapping the mag out in fast reloads. I never have this happen with SGM mags. On a couple occasions I have had to wiggle a mag forward to make it release properly. Lame. The square corner on the OEM mag's feed lip is also more picky about faring in on insertion than the more rounded corners on SGM. A bit of filing improves this slightly. Same applies to KOS I have had the steel feed lips pop off and dump out the guts of the mag when dropped on several times with OEM but not KOS.
