Bringing the wrong item can land you in a load of trouble. Just ask Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old Muslim boy who brought a homemade clock to school that was mistaken for a possible bomb. US News reported that because of the limited amount of information they had, officers were justified Monday in questioning and handcuffing Mohamed. This comes from Irving Police Chief Larry Boyd on Friday. The homemade device featured a circuit board, power supply and other items within a carrying case. Mohamed said he brought the clock to school to show a teacher. The trouble started when another teacher saw the clock and grew concerned. Now it seems like there may be a whole different side to this story. The implied injustice of this story, coupled with the suggestion that it all happened because Ahmed is a Muslim, has had the effect of making him an instant celebrity. Not only is he being courted by MIT and Stephen Colbert, but the White House as well. Now Breitbart reveals that as more is learned about the facts surrounding the events in Irving, TX, the more it becomes evident that we may have been hoodwinked. Facts suggest that this was a deliberate action. Bringing to school something that so closely resembled a trigger for an improvised briefcase bomb would certainly cause inevitable suspicion. As stated by Breitbart, this "clock" was not the first of Mohamed's circuit boards that looked menacingly like an improvised explosive device trigger. Apparently, a photograph of the one being circulated by the Dallas Morning News was practically identical to a circuit board used in a commercially available device used to train law enforcement and military personnel regarding how to identify Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). It seems there is now growing evidence that these boards were not even Mohamed's creations. The article "Reverse Engineering Ahmed Mohamed’s Clock… and Ourselves" breaks down the unmistakable hoax. According to the website, Mohamed did not invent, nor build a clock. He took apart an existing clock, and transplanted the guts into a pencil box, and claimed it was his own creation. If we accept the story about “inventing” an alarm clock is made up, it’s fair to wonder what other parts of the story might be made up or not reported factually by the media. Because of the circumstances, it is protocol in school districts across America to protect students and faculty. That is why Mohamed was taken into custody. It should be noted that the photograph of him in handcuffs that has gone viral, was staged. It was not taken as he was escorted from the high school, but at the police station after his father insisted that the cuffs remain on so his sister could take the picture. It didn't take long for the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) to swoop down and take charge of the family. CAIR is known to be a Muslim Brotherhood-associated fundraising and political warfare arm for the designated terrorist group, Hamas. As expected, Mohamed lawyered up. He and his family were no-shows for scheduled meetings with school officials, the police chief and Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne. What a coincidence, at the very hour the meetings were supposed to occur, the Mohameds and CAIR were holding a press conference. There have been direct attacks against Van Duyne because of the Mohamed incident. While they appear to have been pre-arranged and synchronized, it remains unclear if it was actually a premeditated and skillfully executed provocation and influence operation. However, what is clear, is that in the wake of the inevitable response to Ahmed’s actions, it has turned into a hugely successful campaign of misinformation, disinformation and political warfare against an American community and its mayor, the Irving school district and local law enforcement. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
