  1. I'll have to meet up with all of you gentleman another day as I will be doing a bit of camping and trail riding at Fort Rock that weekend (Memorial Day Weekend). Plenty of days left in the summer though. Hope you all have a blast and we'll catch you on the next one. Best Regards, Tim
  2. If I remember correctly that is the weekend for the Albany (OR) Gun Club MG shoot (5/19). That's one heck of a fun shoot to attend. Definitely not to be missed. I might be able to make it if it were bumped back to June. I live up here in Vancouver (WA) area so you fellows are only a couple of hours away. It would be great to me some folks from the site and do a little blastin'. I could bring my FAL, Galil, AMD, and a few pistols. I don't know if my Saiga 12 will be back from Tromix by then, doubtful. Let us know what the dates are! Regards, -T
  3. Last name is Smith = Smitty My Dad was known to everyone as Smitty. When he passed I inherited it.
  4. Ok, I'll bite. One ten pack of 5's at $149.95 and five 8's if you've got em ready to ship. Let me know how this pans out. Regards, -T
  5. Middleton Very Rare. The finest Irish money can buy. $139.95 at the only L-Store that carries it near me. Tullamore Dew the rest of the year.
  6. I should've posted this earlier but I've been swamped with too much s#%t to do. I received my FH for the factory threads about two weeks ago and it is awesome. Can you say "Heavy Metal Baby". It fits perfectly, the finish is great, and it has the mean "teeth" on it in case I have to knock somebody in the noggin with it. I just want to say thanks to Johnny for the exceptional quality. Tim (smitty)
  7. Considering the original post was from a year ago, I suppose it's gone by now
  8. I would like to call you and discuss the options (SAW grip, Folding stock, etc.). I'm definitely interested. Smitty
  9. I'm really not as think as you dumb I am. I'm assuming that the little knob under the bead is what is used to adjust the sight rib up and down. It's just that the knob is pretty darn difficult to turn. Do I need to use pliers? has anyone else encountered this problem? How difficult is it to change out to the Krebs sights? Once again, any info is greatly appreciated. Smitty

    Got Drum?

Is Patrick Henry in here or what? Sometimes we need to be reminded of the true liberty that the Founding Fathers of this country laid their lives on the line for. I applaud you.
  11. OK, ok, I'll go out in the rain. Actually, I was raised on the Oregon coast. Plenty of rain there. Truth be known, if you didn't go out on a rainy day you didn't go out. I do hate the rust though. I'm pretty pumped up to try out this gun so I will be out on Saturday to blast a few old Christmas caroller plywood yard decorations. Probably won't have the buffers yet but I'm sure it won't hurt the Saiga any. Thanks for all the help and inspiration. Smitty
  12. Thanks all for the input. I think I will order a couple of green BlackJack buffers today. Hopefully we'll see a bit of improvement in the weather here in Washington this weekend so I can get to blastin' this weekend. Thanks again for the help. smitty
  13. I'm getting ready to order a buffer for my new saiga 12 and was wondering which buffer will be the most durable yet offer the most protection to the internals of the gun? Buffertech? BlackJack? Green? Black?...... Help me. I'm drowning in marketing mayhem ;-) Thanks for any info. Tim
  14. Just ordered my 8 rounders today from Assassin. I will leave a post when I receive them. Man, am I excited to get them. Next step: conversion. I've been thinking about having AK-USA do the work. Anybody in Washington State use their services?
  15. Hello All. I just received my Saiga 12 from CDNN yesterday and a newbie to the forum. I've been lurking here for the last couple of weeks and it sounds like a great group here. I'm thinking that the first thing I'd like to do with the gun is get some extra mags as it seems they're harder to find than someone to do the conversion. I sent a couple of emails this morning to Assasin and am hopeful that he might have some left. Look forward to talking to you all in the future.
